Press conference

The same day after college, I went up to my room, a few minutes later mom strolls in and flung me up from the bed.

"Get up!!"she says, looming my eyes to the door scurrying master Leonard standing behind.

Immediately, the dull look on my face washed away, " hello sir!!", I said.

"Hello Chris!! Can we please talk?".

He asked, mom takes a new turn ambling outside, but halts noticing he stopped her from going.

" I need to talk with you as well!!". He added.

She falls a step backwards, working a nervous glare on both sides, what does he wish to talk with us about?.

( I contemplated as he proceeded further with his statement)

He says, "Allison!! It's been not more than two days, you came with you son to the mansion, and in this two days, chris's presence have proven to be of a good thing to me".

( master Leonardo contained more with his spoken words)

" I believe, Chris can help my family!!! You know how rude Keith has grown to be, and I can't have that kind of son as the next in line to my fortune, that's when you come in Chris!! I need you to bring my son to the right track, so he can be of a good and kind heart towards people around him after my death".

Although all he said was right, but the question is how do I reel a heartless and rude man like Keith woods, can I be able to help master Leonardo with his request.

"Sir!! I understand but how do I teach your son a lesson, is it possible to get him back to the right track?".

(I rephrased his initial words to me)

In return he smiles, deep his hand into his robe and brought about a gold plated wrist chain.

" Chris!! Please give me your hands?".

He implored and so I did, trying to gain reasons behind his behavior.

"Sir!! What's this, ?" 

My question got him to speaking, he says and I quote, "Chris!! You're no longer the son to Allison!!" You're now my son!!! I'll like to adopt you and by doing such, you make Keith a better person".

An astonished look dropped on our faces, I still found it difficult to believe his words, did master Leonardo, one of the richest business tycoon in the whole world, just adopted me to be his fake son?, even though it felt like a dream.

Mom joins into the conversation, "sir!! I don't think adopting my son would make Keith a better person!! He might try to rebel against you".  

( she said)

I thought we'll and affirmed her exact words, Indeed Keith will surely rebel against his father, if he concludes to adopt me into his family.

" now listen to me".

He  ( master Leonardo) bounced back our exclusive scrutiny to him and said, "I'm certain that Keith and my wife will retaliate, but don't worry, I'll take care of my wife and Chris" ( he turns his head) "needs to take care of Keith and yes, no one should know about this, I'll be giving a press announcement to the whole world in a weeks time, just get ready and willing to do what it takes to make our plans work!!".

Mom and I stared as he left the room, deep down being the son of such a wealthy man isn't a bad idea, even though its only for a while.

" Chris?".

Mom called me rear, "yes mom" I consulted discerning she wasn't a hundred percent accepting towards master Leonardo's plan and I don't entirely blame her, everything might just end up going up in flames.
