VANCE'S POV

THEY just keep staring at me.

"Like Wena they are human rights advocates," I repeat, "they are just activists and not armed!"

"They don't care," Braxton replied immediately before he exhaled the smoke of his cigarette. "And you should know that," he said emphatically but carefully.

I stared at him wordlessly. It was as if I was slapped by what Braxton said.

Ah! yes by the way. I know my Uncle and my Daddy.

They are called servants of the people but they breathe and act as if they own everything in our province as well as the people, including its lives.

Even if they are appointed by the people to serve, fulfill the position they swore and fulfill their promises during elections.

In fact, they sit in positions for their own interest and benefit, for money and power. A position that will protect their interests and justify their wrong decisions and doings that harm the people they are supposed to serve.
