Chapter 8

The air blocked in the throat of Amara. She looked back and rewound the incidents that happened with her in the past few days - the phone call she got from Alexander, her visit to the old palace, the torch light which goes suddenly switched as she was about to cross the entrance and enter the room. The chamber was weird. It had a huge pillar right in the center and many huge iron plates surrounding it with ropes tied around.

The complete space was covered with devilish pictures on the walls and some strings tied around the enormous metal sheets. The inside of the iron plates was heard a heavy breath of someone unknown....

Amara shook with terror even with the recollection of the incident.

The palace was decorated with colorful flowers, balloons and lights. It was the day of Amara's engagement with Alexander.

Droplets of water was dripping from her face, bust and arms passing through a pink towel wrapped around as she comes out of the shower.

A heavy intake of breath was heard beside her as if somebody was smelling her top to toe. Amara's body shook with repugnance, she hated that sound.

In a turning fusillade she looked around but found the room was empty. Amara kept having the kind of disturbing, lustful groans since a while.

"Wow she is delicious and beautiful from head to toes." There was an insatiable hunger in his words. "What a mesmerizing fragrance." He breaths out the words of thirst. "She is now a complete woman. Her soft body, those entwining curves, everything is mine." He roared in an order. "I had been waiting since ages for you my beauty...." That monstrous laughter echoed in the room.

Amara looked around in fear but found nobody. She squealed aloud closing her ears and eyes drawing everyone's attention in the house.

Her grandparents rushed to her rescue. "Amara what happened to you my child?" Lima asks in perturbation hugging her to the chest like she was a baby.

"He...he came back again grandma, I can hear him. I abhor that copious tone." She shunned with distaste. Lima patted the back of Amara consoling her. The words of the fakir haunted her since yesterday. Perhaps they could perform the engagement in a different city. Hamster was dangerous for Amara.

She wanted to take Amara to Shahriar  where they have another big bungalow and perform her engagement ceremony there. Lima called Alexander and his parents who were supposed to arrive at the palace the next day morning.

The engagement was postponed to another two days, the security and the workers working in their palace in Shahriar were informed to take care of decoration and arrangements.

When everything felt rightly done, Victor went to his bedroom to open the locker of his cupboard. He wanted Amara to wear the jewelry of Princess Veronica on her engagement but the evil was looming around Amara like a dark cloud.

She wasn't supposed to leave Tehran at any cost. The door of the bedroom automatically went locked and the shower opened up. Very soon the bathroom was flooding with water and the water leaked into the bedroom too.

The flood of water slowly reached to Victor's feet and he slipped laying his foot on it. The doctor came to check upon the old man and declared he had a fracture on his left leg.

The engagement was further postponed and could in no way be performed in Shahriar. Though Victor had insisted on his family to leave him in the house and perform the function according to the planned date, everybody turned  a deaf ear to him. Amara was in no way ready to listen to his requests.

In the midst of hot discussion, at times laughter and jokes was a devilish laughter left accompanied with a lustfilled growl which nobody heard.  "My beauty, how can you leave me and go?"

Suddenly the voice turned intense with anger. "I will not allow you to cross the border of Tehran until I enjoy every loop, every peak and valley of that inviting body.

Two minutes later Amara got a phone call from her boyfriend. "Hi, how are you, my sweetheart?" His rough much masculine voice was heard on the phone inviting titillation in Amara's senses.

"I heard your grandfather had an accident. Please convey my best wishes to him. I hope he would be alright for our marriage." Alexander's consoling words brought positive feelings in Amara.

It has been a while since they had been together and Amara was missing him both by body and soul. Alexander had booked a flight to Germany to help his father in business while Amara came to Tehran.

Both of them are engineering graduates studied from Princeton university with high social status and opulent families. Amara pursued her career in Computers and Informatics while Alexander in Electronics and Electrical.

"I miss you so much, Alexander. I want to see you....need you so bad." There was desperation with a tinge of desire in Amara's speech.

A soft chuckle was heard on the other side. "Do you think this is going easy with me? I'm sailing on the same boat as you are my sweetheart....I need you as much as you want me. I thought we could plan something after the engagement." His voice hinted naughtiness and immediately a loud growl was heard on the other side.

"Who is it?" Alexander's voice was mixed with feelings of both anger and protectiveness. Amara instantly looked around and there was nobody. She immediately knew whose voice it belonged.

With each passing day and every second her anxiety increased. She was so emotionally dependent upon Alexander. "I'm into a lot of problem here Alex. I need your help." Amara's tone sounded much anguished and distressed.

She told Alexander about everything starting from her uncle's miserable mental health, the missing of Aunt Stella, the phone call she got with his number, her visit to the haunted house, the fakir's rescue, voices and growls of the monster which she often hears in her head.

Alexander was speechless noting his 'would be' wife's mental health. He obviously did not believe in sorcery or black magic that Amara had talked about. No educated youth would believe in such sick practices.

He decided to consult a psychitriast but was this entirely Amara's psychic sickness or indeed an evil power was looming around her? The growling voice he heard on the phone? Was it just an illusion?
