Two Hundred-Twenty-Eight

She smiles and reaches out to open the door as we are now standing out the front of Shane’s Shadows. Instead of answering me, she holds the door and allows me to enter. I can’t stop the giggle as I set my eyes on Shane again after so long.

He comes out wearing a brightly coloured shirt with matching pants. She slightly screams as he puts his hands to his cheeks and says,

“Lady Glass… It is always wonderful to see you.”

He walks up to her and places his hands on her upper arms before leaning in and making kissing noises on each side of her cheeks. Lady Glass then steps to the side and gives him a view of me. His eyes go wide and he smiles, bowing.

“Luna, it is good to see you again… Did you sort things out with the Alpha?”

“Yes. Alpha finally pulled his head out of his arse.”

We all laugh. Shane then says, “Come sit. I will give you a manicure while we catch up.”
