Chapter 58

Ricardo gently opened his eyes and looked around the room, trying to make sense of what was going on and forcing the awful dream he had just had to the back of his mind with the thought that he would not allow anything bad to happen to Lisa, at least not while he was still breathing.

Someone by his side sighed in relief, and he tilted his head in the direction of the sound.

"Thank Goodness he is still alive." The voice said as his gaze met Mrs. Kincaid's face, who was clearly the owner of the voice. "Ah...Ric, thank Goodness you're still alive."

Ricardo's brows knit together and he opened his lips as his eyes were drawn to a bag of blood on a dripstand that was being connected to his left hand. "What am I doing here?"

Mrs. Kincaid sighed heavily, tears in her eyes, and she said. "Thank your lucky stars that you're still alive. I was beginning to believe I'd lost you."
