Chapter 4

Gianna

Honestly, when Eric told me about his club, and werewolves I was anything but scared because he talked about his club with so much reverence that it is impossible to create a negative judgment about them.

Moreover, I believe we should give everyone a chance, and if then they let you down, then you should distance yourself from them.

From the moment I have entered the club, the first thing which I realized was that a club is a close-knit family. Even though some of them are lewd, still, you can notice the sense of bond between them.

However, for some unknown reason, my mind keeps on drifting to a certain male.

Jarek.

Everything about him screams danger. Still, I find myself being drawn to him. The moment I saw him, there was an instant connection between us which suddenly made that stranger into an acquaintance. I don't know what should I call this connection, but whatever it is, it is strong.

Somewhere I am sure, I am not the only one who has felt this way. I could feel that even he noticed this strange pull between us, but seemed as clueless as I was.

The way he was looking at me was something so intense that it nearly caused my breath to hitch in my throat.

Just thinking about him causes these strange feelings to stir inside me.

All this seems scary, and the logical part of me is telling me to stay away from him. And that's what I am planning to do, I will stay away from as much as I can until I don't figure what the hell is going on with me.

Biting my lip, I interlock my fingers in my lap as I wait for Eric to return. He has gone to attend the meeting, and even though he hasn't said anything, I know I am going to be the topic of the discussion.

"Hey."

Lifting my eyes, I find another fine species of man sitting across on the leather seat of the booth in which I am.

Snapping his fingers, he motions to someone behind me and a moment later a guy probably near my age or younger comes and places two bottles of beer in front of us.

He instantly picks up the bottle and gulps down almost half of the beer in one swig. He slightly pushes the second bottle in my direction, but I push it back with a small shake of my head.

"I don't drink." Crossing my arms, over the table, I shrug.

I wait for him to make fun of me because most of the people who find I don't drink mock me as if I am too uptight or weird. I am sure there are many people who don't drink, there is nothing wrong with that.

But instead, I am surprised when he picks up the second bottle and calls someone to bring juice for me.

"How are you finding this place so far?" He leans back in the seat, and runs his hand through his dirty blonde hair, "I know all this must be weird for you, but Eric is family which makes you a family. So I do hope that if not family, but you will think of us as your friends or well-wishers."

"Honestly speaking, I don't feel anything about you all or this lifestyle. Yes, it is different from how I have been raised, but being different doesn't mean being bad." Giving him a small smile, I run my finger on the rim of the glass.

"Eric is my father, and this club is a part of him, so accepting him means even accepting you all. I can never think of separating him from his identity, this is who he is." I wave my hand around the club, "No one has any right to ask someone to change for them, if we want to accept someone in our life we should accept them the way they are."

"Gia." Eric clears his throat, as he comes and stands beside me, "C'mon girl, let me show your room, so you can settle down." He attempts to conceal his emotions which are evident in his eyes.

"Do you need a hand to bring her stuff to her room?" Daniel stands up and wipes his hands over his jeans.

"No, I have already asked a prospect to put her things in the room." Eric snaps his fingers towards someone and I notice a guy comes towards us. "Her room is on the second floor, so inform everyone that I will behead anyone if I find them lingering near her room."

His death glare instantly makes me realize why these people respect and fear him. Not that I was expecting him to be anything different, because he has truthfully shared everything about himself with me.

A sense of pride swells inside me when I look at my father because there is no doubt that he had got anything handed to him on the silver platter, he has earned everything.

"Oh, hey, I forgot to mention tonight there will be a party, so get ready to meet all the other wolves as well." Eric smiles, seeming slightly excited.

I am hundred percent sure that he is excited about the fact that he will get a chance to introduce me to everyone as his daughter, and threaten them with dire consequences if anyone made a move on me.

I will be lying if I say that I am not enjoying his protective father side. In fact, I am loving all the attention he is giving to me. Somewhere all my life I wanted to experience this fatherly love, and when now I have finally got a chance to experience this love I am going to cherish it with all my heart.

"Gamma." A confused voice reaches our ears, and we turn to look in their direction. "There is a problem. There is someone inside her car, who is not letting us come anywhere near her things."

My eyes widen in realization, and I sprint towards my car before he hurts anyone.
