Chapter 6

On my way to exit from the nightclub, I passed in front of the V.I.P corner and then someone just grabbed me by the waist just behind me and then said : "wanna dance with me baby ?". This man was stinking alcohol which was just disgusting.

"No, thank you", I replied to him while trying to free myself but then he pulled me closer and tight me very hard against him and said : "I think you didn't understand very well what I just said. I want you to dance with me and I don't accept a no as answer".

"And I said that I don't want to dance with you so now let go of me", I told him and then I still tried to free myself but I have just hit him with my elbow. 

"Ouch !! You punctured me an eye. You'll pay for that b*tch", the man said angrily but then I felt that he loosened his grip on me so I took the opportunity to free myself and then I ran as fast as I can but it's wasn't easy as the nightclub was crowded. 

And when I turned around just one second, I saw the man from earlier following me with another men with him and he seemed very angry so I ran again not even looking where I was going but then I hit someone's back and fell down. And when I tried to stand up, the other man was already in front of me and then he said furiously : "We got you b*tch. You're going to pay for what you did to me earlier".

So I simply closed my eyes and at that moment the only thoughts that crossed my mind were that these men would certainly beat me to death and then let me empty my blood out without anyone  to save me. But to my surprise, I didn't receive any punch yet, and when I opened my eyes, these men were no longer there. Then, I heard that voice asking : "are you alright

miss ?". I knew that I've already heard that voice somewhere but I didn't know where. And when I turned around, I was very suprirsed. The man I hit earlier was him. It was Rafael. I also saw that he was a little surprised to see me here.

Then he took my hand, dragged me to go into a kind of office just upstairs the nightclub.

"What are we doing here ?", I asked but then he moved towards me little by little.

And the more he was approaching , the more I was stepping back until I hit the table behind me but he continued to approach  until there were no more spaces between us. Then , he put both of his hands on the table blocking me in the middle,  he then leaned over me, he was so close that I can feel his hot breath on my neck and the most surprising things was that this situation didn't displease at all, on the contrary I liked it.

 He then whispered into my ear : " why didn't you call me back Ashley ? " but I didn't say anything at that moment, I was still trying to find words in my head.

"Uh...I...I...was...about to call earlier but... I didn't know what to say and I thought that maybe you didn't remember me anymore", I said, stuttering.

"How could you believe that I could forget you ? You are not someone that we can forget so easily, Ashley", Rafael whispered again. 

But when I was about to say something, the door opened abruptly and a man wearing a black suit entered immediately and said : " Rafael ?! Lorenzo has arrived downstairs and it's been a while now " but then he noticed that we were in an unsual position and then said : " perdoname, mi Capo. I didn't know that you were... occupied with someone ".

"That's fine Carlos. Please drive Lorenzo in a private room and tell him that I'll join him in a minute " , Rafael told him. We were still in our old position when another man very well dressed came abruptly in the office and said : "Rafael, my old friend. What can hold you here so long that you can't welcome your old friend Lorenzo like it should be". And then this man threw a look at me and said : " Oh !! It looks like you are in a great company ".

I moved away quickly as it was a little uncomfortable to know that these can see us like that.

"Carlos, please take Ashley somewhere else than here . I have some businesses to take care of ith Lorenzo ", Rafael said and then the man with a black suit replied : " Si Capo ! Please, this way Ms. Conrad ", and then I followed him and  this Lorenzo was looking at me carefully until I get out of the office.

"WOW !! I totally understand why were you busy here. I would have done the same thing if I was with a girl like her ", Lorenzo said.

" I know what you have in mind Lorenzo and don't even think about it . She is mine  literally ", Rafael replied him .

" Ah ! Really ?! Would I have met the future Mrs. Herrera ? " , Lorenzo said and then laughed .

Rafael then rolled his eyes and said : " we are here to talk about business Lorenzo , aren't we ?"

" Oh ! Come onn ! It was just a joke. So, why did you call me here ?", Lorenzo told him .

" You certainly knew that it has been more than a week now since someone stole my new shipments ?", Rafael said .

" Yeah, I heard about that. I'm sorry for you my old friend ", Lorenzo replied.

" A few days ago, some of my men found near the docks where my shipments had been stolen some ashes of cigars " , Rafael said.

" And what does that have with me ? " , Lorenzo asked him curiously .

" I didn't finish yet " , Rafael told him .

" Yeah , sorry please continue " , Lorenzo replied .

" Well , they made them analyze and it turns out that it corresponds exactly to the ashes of the cigar costly expensive that you smoke most of the time " , Rafael said , throwing an accusing look at Lorenzo .

" Wait ! Wait ! Are you actually accusing me from stealing your shipment ?

" The facts speak for themselves Lorenzo " , Rafael simply told him .

" You can't be serious rigt now ? What would I have been able to do with your shipments , uh ? I don't even what they contain . Rafael !  You know me . I will never have done that to you " , Lorenzo said to him .

" Why these ashes were there Lorenzo if you weren't there ? " , Rafael asked , furious .

But I do not know anything about me. I never set foot on these Rafael docks.

Lorenzo Bertolini is one of the main bosses of the Mafia from around the world, he controls the whole city of Sicily and many other cities in Italy. At first when I just built my own empire, I consider Lorenzo as my biggest enemy but today I consider him more as the big brother that  I never had. He helped me a lot at some difficult times and I also helped him back and I know he would never have done such a thing to me. So , what did these ashes do there if it wasn't Lorenzo ?
