Miracle
I woke up in a dark room. I blinked my eyes a couple of times to adjust to the darkness. I looked around to find myself in the room they gave me to sleep in the packhouse. I feel confused trying to recall what happened, and why I feel like a truck ran over my body.
I mean, I know I was beaten and bruised, but at the moment, I felt worse than I have. I tried to get up in a sitting position on the bed, but I couldn’t move. I hissed in pain but will myself to move. Groaning, I sit up on the bed and as soon as I did the lights turned on making me close my eyes at the sudden brightness.
“You finally decided to wake up?” I heard my father’s angry voice and my head in his direction in fear.
“I—” I start, but stop short of words. I don’t know what to say. I didn’t even know what I did to get into trouble this time.
I looked up to see both my parents glaring down at me. I try to recall what happened, but I can’t seem to remember anything. The only thing I know is that I feel a weird pain in my chest. I don’t know what that pain is about.
“What? Now you don’t have words after what you did?” I heard Malia’s angry voice and turned to see her standing in the door. I didn’t even know she was here, but as soon as I saw her face, all the memories came crashing down on me as I looked at her, feeling betrayed.
“Why?” It was the only word that left my mouth before I broke into a fit of sobs. I covered my mouth, trying to stop myself from making any sounds, but failed miserably.
“What do you mean why?” She said, looking at me as she was confused. “I am supposed to be the one to question you,” she added, looking at me with a pitiful expression on her face. “Why did you have to come and interrupt my mating like that?” She asked, sobbing in front of our parents.
The way she was trying to look so innocent was just too much. I felt something in me snap as I felt the anger bubbling inside my chest. All that I have gone through for the past 10 years of my life coming to surface as I looked at her with equal hate and disgust.
“I interrupted your mating?” I asked, scoffing at her words.
“I am the one who should be questioning you, you did everything you could to make my life miserable. Even our parents didn’t care about me. I still didn’t say anything because I never thought you would be so shameful to claim my mate as your and lie about it.” I said, unable to hold back. Her eyes momentarily widened in shock and surprise.
“What are you talking about?” She asked, “Are you trying to frame me for interfering with a mate bond? Do I look like an idiot to do that?” She asked as more tears streamed down her eyes.
“I am not trying to frame you because you are interfering with my mate bond.” I replied. I would have probably never said anything, but today, it is about my mate. I can’t let her get away.
“Daddy, I swear I didn’t do anything,” she pleaded, looking at dad.
“Are you still going to believe her? Even after what she did to me?” I asked. I didn’t expect him to take my side, but I expected him to know how big of a liar Malia is.
“Why would I trust you?” He asked, looking at me after a few seconds. “Malia would never lie to me. She accepted when she was using magic on you. She has no reason to lie.” He added, and I couldn’t stop the humorless chuckle that left my lips.
“I am the biggest fool on this earth to even expect anything from you,” I added with a laugh.
“Are you trying to answer me back?” He growled at me, and I shook my head in denial.
“If I wanted to do that, I would have done that a long time ago,” I replied with a sad smile, for a second I thought I saw guilt in pain in my mother’s eyes, but it was gone as soon as it appeared. I must be imagining things.
“If you don’t believe me, take me to Alpha Jake. He is my mate, I know he is, and he will identify me immediately.” I added, looking up with determined eyes.
“Daddy, are you really going to listen to this liar? She was trying to seduce a visiting Alpha during the ball. I am sure she was trying to make him believe that he is her mate too.” Malia said. I knew she would not allow me to go to my mate because she would be exposed.
“If you are so sure I am lying and he is your mate, then why don’t you let me go meet him?” I said with a smile playing on my lips. I know she would want to kill me now, but I didn’t care.
“We have to give her a chance,” it surprised me to hear mom’s voice. “It would solve all the doubts. Besides, we can’t mess with a mate bond, and if anything wrong happens Alpha is going to punish all of us.” She added, she knew Malia was lying. I was happy. At least she spoke up for me, even if it was for only once.
“Fine,” Dad sighed, “your mom is right. It’s almost morning. Let’s go meet Alpha Jake and clear this mess.” He added, Malia looked a little worried, but she couldn’t do anything about it. I was happy that at least now she will be exposed.
—-------------We were now waiting for Alpha Jake. We were waiting in his room as instructed by him. I was nervous, but I felt butterflies in my stomach. I felt comfort as his scent lingered in his room. I was seated in a chair as mom and dad sat on the couch with Malia.
I was never included in their perfect happy family for the last 10 years. I was used to it, but it still hurt my heart to see that I was not good enough for them. I blinked my eyes, not wanting the unwanted tears to flow. We heard heavy footsteps and soon the door snapped open and I was hit with my mate’s scent in full force.
I took a deep breath as I inhaled sharply, taking as much of his scent as I could. His presence put both Mia and me at ease. I looked up, wanting him to look at me and acknowledge my presence. Instead, I saw him looking at Malia tenderly as she blushed shyly.
“Alpha Jake,” Dad bowed his head respectfully.
“We are sorry to disturb you,” he added, sighing as he looked at me.
“I know, it’s an idiotic question to ask, but could you please let us know which one of our two daughters is your mate?” He asked, being as respectful as possible.
“What kind of question is that?” he growled loudly.
“I think I already told you, Malia is my mate and future Luna.” He answered before letting my dad say another word. What he said, however, pierced my heart and I cried out in pain, holding my chest as Mia whimpered in my head.

Christopher We arrived at the Silver Crescent Pack, but for some reason, my wolf has been restless. I don’t know what it is, but I feel there is something terribly wrong. I tried to ignore it and focus on attending the Mating Ball. I don’t want to poke in their business unless they are doing something terrible. The Alpha welcomed us, who seem very nervous in my presence. I know, I have a strong aura and I try to suppress it as much as I can, but did he have to make it so obvious? He is an Alpha, and he lets others see his emotions. It is not a good sign for an Alpha. They immediately took us to the guest house. They had tried their best to make it comfortable for all their visitors, so I commend them for it. After a shower, I changed and made my way out to find my Beta waiting for me at the door. “Alpha, do you also feel it?” He asked, looking around. “Do you feel something?” I asked, not bothering to answer his question. “I feel somet
Miracle “NO!” I screamed, my heart still aching from the agonising pain of rejection. I know he didn’t use the words to reject me, but for some reason, it feels like he is rejecting me. “Why can’t you recognise me as your mate?” I asked, looking at him with tear-filled eyes. “I can smell my mate’s scent, and I know it’s not you,” he said, looking at me with his hate-filled eyes. I felt something break inside of me. “Please,” I pleaded pathetically, looking at him with hopeful eyes, “I swear I am your mate. She is not,” I added as tears rolled down my cheeks. “I am sure Malia has tricked you. She can’t be your mate, please, please trust me.” I begged for my mate to listen to me. “Why are you so hell bent on proving that I am trying to steal your mate?” Malia asked. For the first time, she looked pitiful, and I knew it was all an act. She was desperately trying to prove in front of everyone that I was trying to frame her. “How can you ev
Miracle I feel empty inside. I am completely broken. There is nothing left of me anymore. I knew I wouldn't come out of this alive. I know the punishment of trying to hurt a fellow pack mate. No one believed me before, then why would they believe me now? I won’t try to prove myself innocent anymore. There is nothing for me to live for. However, there is one thing that I know I want to do before I leave this world, and that was to prove I wasn’t lying about Jake being my mate. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard Mia whimper in my head. ‘I am sorry, Mia,’ I whispered. ‘I know you don’t deserve this, but you are stuck with a useless human like me. I hope the Goddess gives you a second life, and you get a partner you deserve.’ I continued. I was heartbroken because I couldn’t save her, no matter how much I tried. She was suffering with me, and will probably die with me too. ‘None of this is your fault, Miracle,’ she replied in a low whisper. ‘Don’t
Christopher Last night was uneventful. My wolf has been restless from the moment we arrived in this pack. I wanted nothing more than to return home, but I had business to take care of. If someone was using magic, it is dangerous not only for this pack but for the entire werewolf species. Toby was out to gather information. I knew it wouldn’t be long before he came back. I spent the morning training to keep myself occupied. It was after lunch when I returned to the guest house to find Toby anxiously pacing in my room. I frowned at the look of worry on his face. I walked in, closing the door behind me. He stood straight the moment he saw me enter. I sat on the couch, motioning for him to sit beside me. “Alpha, I have all the information you needed, and you will not like what I found out.” He said as soon as he sat on the chair beside me. I was about to ask him to spill it already, but the knock on the door stopped me. “Come in,” I called out. So
Christopher‘MATE!’ Trent screamed in my head, making my eyes widen in shock. I couldn’t stop the possessive growl that sounded from my chest as my mouth uttered the words “MINE!” making everyone gasp in shock.Miracle looked at me with wide eyes. It was clear she knew, and I wondered how he felt the mate bond with either of us when she had no wolf. What kind of twisted game was the Moon Goddess playing with us? Why would she give me another mate when she knows I can’t love her?“Impossible,” Alpha stone growled. His loud voice got my attention. “She can’t be your mate. My son never accepted her rejection.” He growled. I know he was trying to save face because his son was rejected in front of everyone for being dumb. I did not miss the way he was glaring at Miracle.“If you don’t remember Alpha Stone. We all heard that your son had rejected the bond with his mate even when he di
MiracleNever in life did I ever think I would have the courage to reject my mate the way I did. I rejected him in front of his pack and the other visiting Alphas, but what was even more was what happened next. A sweet, masculine scent hit me. It smelled of woods and rain.My eyes widened when I met the mesmerizing eyes that pulled me in. He was one of the visiting Alpha’s, and the way he growled “MINE!” a shiver went down my spine. Mia was howling in my head shouting ‘MATE’ as she ran in circles happily in my head.He looked confused and deep in thought until Alpha Stone had called for his attention. I felt sadness consume me when I didn’t see any emotion in my mate’s eye. Which Alpha would want a weak girl as his mate?‘Don’t worry, Miracle, I am sure our mate would love us,’ Mia whispered in my head.‘He doesn’t look happy,’ I replied, and she sighed sadly.&lsq
MiracleI woke up feeling pleasurable sparks around me. I blinked my eyes, trying to clear my vision, and saw my mate looking at me. His eyes still held no emotions and were as cold as ice. His arm was wrapped around my waist as he supported my body to not let me fall.I look around to find myself in the backyard. It seems like I haven’t been unconscious for long because everything looked the same. My eyes found Malia’s body as it laid on the stage. No one bothered to check if they could save her.I couldn’t help the sadness I felt in my heart. I wanted her to get punished so she could realize her mistake, but I never wanted her to die. I tried to move forward, but the hold on my waist tightened.“Are you okay?” My mate’s voice got my attention. I turned to look at him and nodded my head.“Ma— Malia,” I stuttered. My throat felt dry, but I was able to turn my head and look at my sister, hoping t
Christopher Alpha Stone was a grade A-asshole. He knew the consequences of trying to mess with me, but he still tried everything he could to be able to punish Miracle. My warning was enough for him to shut up. He knew if I said something, I would do it no matter what. It would have been to watch him get insulted in front of the elders while he freaked out about my attack. Miracle, however, seemed shocked at my words. Did she think I would have left her alone here to die? Even if she wasn’t my mate, I would have never let her die for something she didn’t do. The dumb Alpha then announced that Malia would be punished as per law. He took his anger on the girl by killing her instantly. It was the cheapest thing he could have done to soothe his ego. The moment he snapped Malia’s neck, Miracle screamed in horror. What surprised me more was the way Malia’s body glowed, and soon it felt like there was some sort of exchange happening. The light from her body t
