Chapter 17 - Another Rejection?

Breena had dragged me into her room as soon as she possibly could. I didn't complain because being around my mate had kind of restricted my muscles as I was constantly trying to not mess up in front of him. She was really cheery and excited about this whole situation. I looked around to see her room, and to be honest I love it. It was made for a beautiful little princess like her.
“You have a beautiful room, Breena.” I complimented with a polite smile on my face. I was watching her room and noticed how comfortable it must be to sleep here at night.
“Thank you, mom had this room made for me especially. She would always make sure that I have everything I could ever need.” She replied, a sad smile on her face appeared as her eyes filled with unshed tears, and her voice thickened with emotions. My heart twisted painfully in my chest.

Christopher I have been restless the whole night. Trent demanded we go and check on Miracle, but I refused. He has been a pain to deal with ever since my last interaction with her. Making sure that I did not have a second of peace by continuously growling, howling, and whimpering in my head. I couldn’t help but recall the few interactions we had in the last few hours.
