Toby was waiting for me when I reached the front door. He had already gathered our best warriors and trackers. I was glad to have him work rationally at the moment because my mind was a mess, and I don’t think I could do anything on my own at the moment. Trent was ready to go on a killing spree if we didn't find Miracle and it did nothing to ease my worry.

“Alpha, we are waiting for your orders,” Toby said as he bowed his head respectfully.

“She is gone. We have to find her.” I mumbled. I don’t know if I was making any sense. My brain was frozen, and it refused to think about anything other than finding her.

“What? Who do we have t—” Toby stopped mid-sentence the moment he realized my words. He gasped in shock and surprise, but he was quick to mask it with a blank expression on his face.

“Our Luna is missing. We have to find her.” He ordered, and I was grateful that he took over from here.

Can this sorry excuse of a mate bond die and she just goes off into the sunset to live alone with a bunch of cats? I think that would be her best life.

I love this story I was hoping miracle would find a loving considerate mate but unfortunately she got an even worse mate than the first one poor girl can’t get a break
