Escape

Destiny's eyes fluttered open and without looking at a clock she knew it was the early hours of the morning. It was still dark outside, that was a good indication. Although she didn't have enough sleep, her body was so used to waking up in the wee hours of the  morning it was persistent in its refusal to deviate from the schedule.

Destiny jumped out of the window, hit the snowy floor and rolled on the ground. A human could have died from such a fall, she was glad she wasn't a human.

She looked around quickly for the guards or other wolves before she got up and ran towards the exit of the compound. She heard a faint crunching through the snow and slid to hide behind a building. She wasn't sure why she was even trying to run away. It's not like anyone would stop her. She wasn't even formally introduced to the pack yet.
