EPILOGUE: Loving The Gamma

13 YEARS AFTER

JANNA.

My whole family was on our way to visit Mom and Dad in the big city.

It's been a while since I was here, and the new buildings and structures were fascinating to see. A lot has improved.

Aaron made a turn and was now passing through the area that once served as my second home. It was near my high school, and though I missed the place, I knew I would rather be in the territory than here.

"Stop!" My hand flew to Aaron's chest as he hit the brake hard. Our bodies jolted forward, but we were held back by our seatbelts.

My head snapped back to my back and I checked the kids on the passenger seats. Both were grimacing, but they looked fine. I felt the car move as Aaron maneuvered us into the parking space beside the sidewalk.

"Janna! Don't do that again!" Aaron snapped at me, and I just bit my lower lip as I looked back at him, guilty for what I did. His eyes softened before a smile tugged at his lips. "What's going on?"
