Chapter 19: A Beta's Heart

I’ve been driving for hours and I felt my ass was about to explode from sitting too long. I made stopovers, but I didn’t really step out of my car unless I needed to relieve my bladder or refill my car. Although I knew I could protect myself, I didn’t want anyone to get in the way until I reached Paul.

And although I was nervous for the most part of the trip, Alpha Caspian’s plan did work. His men followed me all the way to the city of Aspen and then just let me drive off on my own after that. I saw them watching over my car until I lost sight of them in my rearview mirror.
