CHAPTER 123 - Amarah's Burial

Gabriel, with his hands inside the pockets of his jacket stared down quietly and intently at Catherine’s tomb. His eyes wandered towards the words written on her white, marble epitaph and he gripped his fists tightly.

“Life is not Forever. But LOVE is.”

He glanced up a bit when he heard a howl in the air, signifying the end of the mourning period.

For Amarah.

Instead of the tradition’s usual five days of mourning, King Atticus had decreed that the observation of mourning for Amarah will be extended for two more days. This is because of the influx of wolves from all over the kingdom that wanted to pay their last respects to the Saville woman, who had unselfishly given her all to treat those who needed her help.

And it has been seven days as well that Gabriel has been visiting his mate’s tomb and would just stand there for hours without saying anything.

Gabriel heard some rustling behind and he raised his head up and waited.
