"It's a family thing, mom," Maxine interceded. It seemed that she knew what happened, even though she felt that she was the cause of what happened to Lisa. "Please just treat her right."
Danielle was tight-lipped. She hurried to clean the wound on Lisa's back carefully after Liam came to bring a bowl of warm water and a small towel. Lisa grimaced, she even squeezed Maxim's hand while closing her eyes.
While Liam approached Maxine who chose to look at the golden color that dominated the sky from behind the window of her room facing the balcony, deliberately turning her face away from the Stone siblings.
"Hey?" said Liam for the first time. "I'm sorry."
Maxine nodded without turning her head. "Forget it, Liam. It's not a big deal."
