Maxine rubbed her face with a rough sweep. At least She regretted what She had said to Jace Stone. She rubbed her face again as she walked towards the bathroom, looking at the reflection of herself in the sink mirror.

Maxine laughed bitterly. "Sorry, Mr. Stone. I can't let go of your son," she repeated her words last night.

She laughed again with a soft shake when she remembered the fact that it was this sentence that made Jace Stone order the vampires to tear the clothes she was wearing, even though some of them were ordered to hurt her, and fortunately, none of the vampires managed to hurt her, because every time the wound appeared it would be tight again as soon as it appeared.
