Chapter Two

Chapter Two

Ashira’s POV

“Yes, buddy. So never again surprise us at night like that, do you understand?”

Aiden was talking with Quillon when I came in to the house. I went to the market with Ava and Seth for groceries and our shopping turned out to be their date which I become the third wheel.

“How about the mornings, daddy?”

“Uh…”

I think Aiden was about to say no and I believe I know why he thinks that way. This fucker.

I decided to butt in and speak while placing the groceries at top of the kitchen table.

“Of course, baby, you still can wake us up when you wanted to.”

I know that is what’s starting his day, I can’t take it away from him.

Oh, well.

“Ash…” he said in a complaning voice.

“Yey!” my child cheered. “Can I excuse myself now, Daddy?”

Aiden sighed and smiled at Quillon before nodding his head.

I grinned to my son and watched him run to Seth and Ava to greet them.

Aiden walked to me, then. I can feel his glare firing and I know what I’ve done wrong.

“That is not fair.” he started to fire.

I raised my brow. “What is?” I should try to be innocent as I can! I know he hated that but I can’t endure my son!

“I’m not butting in when you’re lecturing him, Ashira.” he crossed his arms on his chest.

“Aiden, he loves waking us up in the morning. That starts his day…”

Aiden groaned. “Working you up in the morning starts my day, too, baby… You’re being unfair to me.”

“Aiden!” I covered his mouth with my hand and looked at Quillon’s way. Thank’s god he’s busy talking with Seth and Ava! “He’ll hear you. You shouldn’t expose him with those words.”

“Baby, he don’t know what I mean. Come on. You’re straying out of the issue.”

I sighed. “Fine. I won’t butt in next time.” I pouted. “Let’s let him barge into our room every mornings?” I puppy-eyed so he’ll agree.

Aiden is such a disciplinarian as a father, at times but he never let go of his cool ways of parenting. I adore him for that.

Aiden sighed. “Not for long, baby. Come here…” he pulled me inside his embrace and kissed my temple gently. “You always use your power over me, it’s not fair.”

I giggled and hugged him back. “I’ll make it up to you later.”

He groaned infuriatingly. “Damn it. I can’t wait.”

**

“I think it necklace is a better accessory. A sword like the Alpha King is a burden considering his age.” Aiden suggested. We are thinking about how Quillon can wear the Paraiba all the time.

This meeting includes Seth, Nick, Aiden and I.

“I think that’s a great idea to keep it that way. Also to respect Cressia’s heirloom, it should stay the same.” I seconded.

“Then we should just create a sturdy chain for the lace of the necklace.” Seth suggested.

“Yeah, it won’t be good if the necklace fell or something. If that happens when Kill’s power has maximized then I don’t think that can ever be concealed.” Nick said with a thinking nod.

I gave him an angered look. “Don’t call him that, Nick. Tss.”

“Ops. But it’s shorter and easier to-”

“Not gonna happen.”

Seth laughed and tapped Nick’s shoulder.

“Get yourself your own pup and I’ll name him something I’ll make sure you won’t like.” Aiden smirked.

“Hey! You’re teaming up against me again! I just find it cool.”

“Hush it.” Aiden hissed. “This needs immediate action. I already talked with Zynia and she seems to find some information about concealing at Ravenous archives.”

“Oh, what happened to Elon’s mother? Did they found her?” Seth asked.

Sophia went into hiding ever since Elon died. They kept on looking out for her to find out where she learned the dark enchanting.

Aiden shook his head. “I think she went rogue. There will be no chance of her going back now that Zeke leads the pack.”

All of us nodded. It’s such a shame, learning more about the other side of magic would be great. It may also help our defense towards any enemies, for it will be used in a good way.

“So… I think we’re done here?” I said and standing up. It’s late at night and I feel tired. “It’s getting late.”

“Alright!” Seth stood up and turned to Aiden. “I’ll go now, too.”

Nick followed. “I’ll gather the materials to choose from for the lace tomorrow, Aiden.”

“Okay, Nick.” Aiden came to my side.

The two was out and Aiden was quick to plant a kiss on my lip. I smiled after his deep kiss.

“I also think Kill is a cool nickname…” he whispered. I rolled my eyes at him and pushed him lightly.

“Nope, Aiden.”

He laughed and pulled me again in an embrace. “I love you, Ashira.”

Looking in his eyes right now, I drowned. I got used by it but right now, I’m being pulled by that golden-brown pair of eyes…

I bit my lip as I felt aroused by what he was trying to emit… damn. He’s inviting me.

“I love you, too, Aiden.” and I initiated the kiss.
