Ashira’s POV

A deafening silence enveloped around us that I swear I hear ringing in my ears from how bothersome it is. Aiden didn’t responded after I told him what’s not in Quillon’s body but I saw Nick and Seth stood on guard from afar. Aiden might have given them an order.

‘Quillon, where’s your necklace?’

I swear I hear my son’s nervous gulp and I fought myself not to sigh loud.

Aiden talked to me before Quillon can.

‘He must’ve dropped it somewhere on his way here. We’ll find it later, baby.’

‘You know what’s troubling me right now, Aiden. It’s not just about the necklace being gone. The King is right here in front of us, for Pete’s sake!’
