Bonus Chapter - Isabel

“I didn’t find her,” the weakling explains frantically as he kneels before us, “But you are right they have a mage with them but it was not Drake’s mate.” 

“Interesting,” Ares replied. I looked at my love and couldn’t help myself smile. He was everything that I asked for. Everything that I needed. And I wouldn’t let anyone harm him, especially that powerful Luna I keep hearing. 

No one is more powerful than my Mate Ares. And no one will be more powerful than I am. We are the indestructible couple, and we have proven that time and time again. That’s why people feared us. They would all fall on their knees as they beg for mercy asking us to save their lives. 

“So there is another mage lurking in Purple Hill,” Ares said with a smile. I know that smile, that’s the smile he has when he’s interested in something. Even if he doesn’t say it, I know that he was disappointed to know that Drake was alive. But it didn’t seem to bother him much before especially after knowing that Drake was actually stuck in a wheelchair without a wolf. 

But that changed when he found out that Drake found his long-lost mate that he thought didn’t exist and what made it more interesting for him was that Drake’s Mate was not an ordinary person, especially after Archer was killed. Another stupid moron who was given the chance to be a ruler of Purple Hill but just as I expected, he was too weak to be one. Too weak that an ordinary person even killed him. 

Well, scratch that, nothing about her is ordinary. For one, she was just like me, a mage and a wolf, the only difference between us was that I used to be a Celestial. Well, unless my stupid sister did something that she isn’t supposed to do once again. Like how she saved Drake and let him live when I had already made sure that he was dead. 

“Yes,” Arthur excitedly replied, “She was the one who found out why they can’t shift.” 

This stupid wolf, does he really think that Ares would let him leave after the mess that he made? Ares is just getting all the information that he has, but he will never give another being a second chance if he no longer has a purpose for him. 

“Did you mention us to them?” Ares said as he started playing with his favorite knife. Seeing it I felt the shift in the stupid wolf’s emotions, I could now taste his fear. Seeing him in the state that he was in made me smile. I look at the rest of his crew behind him all of them had their heads bent to the ground and I know that just like this stupid moron they are also afraid to die. They look like they were begging Ares to be merciful to them and let them live. 

Ares is not really a bad person. But the people of Purple Hill created this bad image of him that isn’t even true. When I first came here after I was abandoned by my so-called family. A group of wolves was after me and ready to kill me even if I meant them no harm. That was when Ares came and saved me. 

Ares never asked me anything, like where I was from or who I really was before we meant. My past wasn’t important to him. Because for him, the person that I am now is enough. He never demanded I do anything for him. Everything that I did was a result of what they commonly called free will. 

The more we see each other the more I felt something for him. I never thought I would feel this feeling that these humans call love until I met him. At first, I tried to hide it and even try to deny it. I was afraid that he will leave if he knew how I felt for him but once again he proved me wrong. He was the first to confess how he felt for me and for once in my life I felt that I can finally be happy. Well until he found out that his best friend Atos was planning on removing him from his position because of a prediction saying that Atos's son was to become an Alpha King.

That’s when I remembered something about what Selene had said to me before. At first, it didn’t really matter to me if Ares became just a low-rank official as long as we have each other. But after hearing him telling me about his dream of becoming the greatest Alpha to exist, I know that I need to help him make that a reality. Because his dreams are also my dreams. 

I was just not expecting that my weak sister would side with the enemy. 

“No,” the weakling wolf answered, “I would never betray you, my Lord.” 

To be fair, this weak wolf knows where to put his loyalty to. But unfortunately for him, the reason that we are on top and the reason why Ares is respected by the weak packs that we have conquered was because of his ability to see trash and dispose of it. 

“Very good,” Ares said with a smile, “You did a good job!” I watch as the weak wolf smile. He was just like a pet dog whose tail keeps on wagging when his master praise him for doing a good job. Ares stood and walk toward him smiling. A very proud smile. 

“You better rest,” Ares said as he held the weak wolf by the shoulder, “You deserve it.” 

And with that, Ares pulled his knife and sliced the weak wolf’s throat. And I watch him gag as he tries desperately to stop himself from bleeding. 

“All of you rise,” Ares said, his voice booming, “Watch what happens if you let your fear get you. Why would you be afraid when I got your back? Who the hell am I?”

“Our King!” The rest of our followers shouted.

“Clean this mess,” Ares ordered, “I don’t want him spreading his disease of weakness to everyone one of you. We might seem to be moving slowly, but I guarantee, I will create a kingdom for us. A kingdom that’s not suppressed by money or power. A kingdom where we can take anything that we want. A kingdom where we will be free.”

That’s my man over there. The one and only King.

Now tell me, what is there not to love about this man?
