Adonis~A glass cup was thrown at the door Immediately I stepped in, I ducked my head as fast as I could and the glass smashed against the wall. I turned to look at the now shattered pieces of the glass cup.Fuck!I turned to see the man responsible for it, he had a drink in his hand, looking too calm for someone who threw a glass cup at me seconds ago. I gulped down the pile in my throat as he smiled.“Welcome.” He grinned rather scarily, gulping more of the drink down his throat. I took the liberty to look around but everywhere looked normal. Like it has always been.“What happened with Penelope?” He asked and I shrugged, walking away from the door, to the living room. He raised his eyebrows on seeing my response. Smashing the glass of alcohol he had in his hand on the floor. I flinched hard as soon as I saw what he did, slowly glancing up at him to see blood dripping down his hand.“I asked you a question, boy! I expect an answer.” He snarled angrily."How am I supposed to know wha
Adonis ~It’s been three days. Three days since I went to the police station and gave them the recording I had, filing a report against dad for holding mom hostage. They accepted it and opened the case but said they’d have to investigate it further before taking actions. I was loosing patience as the day went by, here I am hunched against the desk, staring at my laptop.“Sir.” Noah’s voice boomed in the office, I sat up to see him standing right in front of the table.“It’s late and I should head home now.” He says and I nodded.“How about you, sir? I don’t think it’s quite okay for you to spend the night here. You should go home and rest.” He tells me but I wasn’t willing to listen. I need work to distract myself from everything going wrong In my life. I legit thought handing the recording of father saying he’d rather kill mom would be enough to take him into custody the next day perhaps but it’s been three whole days! Three days of me waiting for the result of their investigation.
It’s been four days…Four days since I’ve gotten mom back. One day since since father has been arrested arraigned to court where he was found guilty of fraud and also holding mom hostage even after her accident. He was also found guilty for threatening me and sentenced to seven years imprisonment. My life has suddenly taken a different turn and route. No matter how short and private the court proceedings were, some of it was still bound to spill to the public and that it did. Although I wasn’t shaken by the different conspiracies people kept coming up with.“Hey.” Lola whispered, I turned to look at her with a glass of apple juice in her hands. I rolled my eyes playfully as she took a seat beside me. We were both sitting in Liam and Chloe’s patio. We couldn’t celebrate fully since mom was still in the hospital, Penelope still hasn’t been caught and Lola hasn’t healed. She still has a cast on and still uses her crutches. We all sat outside here eating and talking until Chloe felt slee
Lola~Eight months after…"We don’t have all day, Lola. Come on.” Adonis yelled impatiently. I grabbed my phone and walked out of the room. It’s not like anyone told him to get dressed an hour before the said time an now he’s taking it out on me.“You can’t rush perfection, Adonis.” I yelled back. My heels clicking against the marble floor. Adonis was pacing around the living room, talking on the phone with someone I presume to be Liam. A smile made it’s way to my lips as I took a ground look of him. He was dressed in a grey suit, his hair had grown out longer and he tied it into a ponytail with few strands falling to his forehead. I watched as he gently picked up the sculpture sitting pretty on the shelf even as he spoke. He seemed to notice my presence and immediately turned to look at me.A warm smile embracing his lips as his eyes slowly raked me. “I’ll be there soon with her.” He says and cut the call, walking closer to me with a hint of mischief in his eyes.“Are you ready?” I as
“Don’t you think it’s time?” Chloe questioned, folding her hands against her chest as she stared at me. I furrowed my eyebrows, immediately averting my gaze as I look out the windshield. Pretending not to know what she was talking about.“I don’t understand.” I replied, genuinely hoping she would let it go but of course, knowing the kind of person she is, she definitely would not.I felt her hand against mine, briefly pulling me back to her.“You know what I am talking about so don’t play dumb. It’s been five months. Five whole months but you’re still stocked on what happened. “ She says in a hus
I shut the door tightly, rushing into the bathroom and locked the door, as if that would help clear my head. The fuck did I just witness? And not just that but also the fact that he saw me, he saw me and smirked at me. He saw me watch them fuck.—For fucks sake, why did I have to stand there and watch them, watch him groan as he wrecked her walls. Watch him wrap her hair around his knuckles, pulling her head back, wrapping his other free hand around her neck.—I rushed towards the wash hand basin, turning on the water and splashed it on my face. Not only did I see them but I’m also thinking about it? The worse part is the fact that I don’t regret standing there and watching it. For a moment, I wanted it to be me.
Here I am standing outside the family house. I’ve been standing out here for five minutes. Trying to summon every single courage in me and walk up the stairs and press the bell. —you’ve got this Lola— I took a deep breathe and exhaled, taking my first step up the stairs and eventually got to the door, reaching for the door bell and pressed it.I was scared. I am scared. I had no idea how I would be welcomed after all it’s been months since I last came here. I was cut short my thoughts as the door suddenly came open. An extremely bright smile welcomed me, hauling me into her arms very tightly “Lola.” Aunt Mandy exclaimed, her hands rubbing my back soothingly as she rocked me back and forth.
Sinful seduction ~“Lola? Are you in there? Please open the door.” Aunt Mandy called out to me from the other side. I sniffed back my tears and stepped away from a concerned looking Adonis. “I’ll be out in a minute.” I say, taking a step backwards and looked at myself in the mirror again. I looked like shit. No sugar coating it.I chucked humorously as I wiped my face clean with the towel. “I look like shit.” I muttered, laying back the strands of hair that already came loose from my ponytail.“Meh..you always look like shit.” Adonis says and I turned to look at him, raising my eyebrow in a way that says ‘Really?’“Oh shi
