~Alana~
Alana was in dreamland. Here she was, pinned against the wall by a handsome CEO, his arms protectively holding her. With the way Alric Valmore was whiffing the life out of her, she easily drowned in dirty thoughts of him.
It was shameful to admit, but she could not help the attraction she had for this man. Her body acted on its own and her hands moved up to his chest as if they were holding him back, but in truth, she was enjoying the hardness of his sculpture.
“Mister - Sir -” Her assertions were stuck in her throat. Her eyes fluttered to the sensation of the man’s warm breath against her skin. “Oh, dear...”
“You smell so sweet… so divine,” she heard him say while he brushed his finger gently against the side of her face.
With all the tension building up between them, Alana recognized the dampness in between her thighs that she clamped them together, holding back the irresistible arousal.
Alric chuckled at her actions and that caught Alana by surprise. From a beast mode, ready to make a claim on her, his voice fell restrained when he suggested, “I supposed, you haven’t changed.”
“What?” She did not hear him at first. She was still lost in her desire that she failed to recognize whatever it was that he implied.
“I thought you had forgotten me, but look at you now, you still shudder at my touch,” he continued, forcing Alana to awake from whatever reverie she was in.
Clearing her throat, she asked, “What?”
“Alana, how could you leave me waiting that night?” He asked, his forehead already resting on hers.
“That... night?” With a slight push, she probed further, “What do you mean? Have - have we met before?”
Alric growled, and it greatly disturbed Alana. He was like an animal, roaring at her. He said, “What - do - you mean, Alana?”
Without warning, he forced his lips against her rims and while she felt heaven at the taste of him, there was a pending matter that needed to be addressed. With all her might, she pushed him off her and said, “I - I really don’t remember if we have met before. Ha - have we?”
Hurt flashed through Alric’s eyes and she saw it distinctly. His arms remained to trap her as he insisted, “Alana, it’s me.”
“Eight years ago at the Luxur Hotel, here in Bay City. It was a Saturday evening. Room 405. You and me.” His eyes narrowed as he revealed, “You and me, we rode each other through the night, six fucking times in heavenly pleasure.”
‘Rode each other.’
‘Six fucking times.’
‘Heavenly pleasure.’
Alric’s narrative repeated into her head, like an echo bouncing back again and again.
Dead air surrounded the room, and Alana’s face turned pale. At first, she lingered at the idea of him being on top of her six fucking times, and gods, how she wished she remembered. It would have truly been a taste of heaven!
Eventually, her eyes became glued to Aric’s amber orbs.
‘His eyes,’ she said in her head. ‘This man... is Kai’s father? No wonder. He had his eyes... Kai... had his eyes.’
‘But wait!’ She shook her head vigorously at what Alric had revealed. She asked, “Say that... again?”
“Am I not clear enough, Alana!” Hastily, he removed his top and suggested, “Why don’t we do a repeat so you can get your memory back?”
“It was me!” He repeated in anger. “You and me!”
Yet again, he pinned her against the walls, slammed his lips to hers, and kissed her fiercely. Her lips easily turned numb and she ran out of breath. When he let go, he said, “I remember exactly the way you taste, the way you smell! Alana.”
Alana could tell that it took everything in him to say, “Alana, it’s me. Don’t you - don’t you remember?”
“But.” Alana could not hold back from studying him intimately. After having ogled at his eyes, she widened her gaze at his gorgeous face, his muscular body, and then up to his towering frame. Her lips trembled as she questioned, “But you... are not... forgettable.”
A frown formed on Alric’s face as he mirrored her remark, “What? Forgettable?”
“Alana!” He slammed his weight completely against hers and wrapped her in his arms. He cautioned, “Don’t test me... My patience is wearing thin! It’s me! Don’t… fuck with me. You have no idea how long I have waited for this day - to find you.”
Alana understood how he was holding back his anger. His breathing turned labored, and from a strong and very possessive hold, she sensed him loosening his embrace. Soon, she heard him quietly say, “Do you... not remember at all?”
Trying to explain, she said, “Mister Valmore - “
“Alric,” He corrected, pressing his lips on top of her head. “Call me, Alric.”
“Alric, if this is not any trick - “
“What reason would I have to trick you?” His voice raised and his body tensed, but after a second of merely breathing in on her, he said, “What I said was true. I can’t understand why you deny it.”
With a frown, Anala replied, “Actually, I don’t deny it - “
“So you remember?” He cut her off again while remaining to cover her with his frame.
“Alric, if you let me explain. Please,” she pleaded, her hands slowly climbing up again to his chest. “Please.”
Following her request, Alric moved away, but he did so cautiously and while holding her hand, not wanting to let her go. They paced to where the sitting area was and he settled in.
Alana was about to take the seat in front of him, but Alric tightened his hold on her wrist and pulled her to sit on his lap. Her heart heavily drummed against her ribcage as he, once again, wrapped his arms around her possessively.
“You are not running away, Alana. Not again,” he warned. He forced her body against his chest and her face became in contact with the crook of his neck. It was then that she realized how he seemed to smell of nature - like pine trees.
Alana sighed. If it was any day with this sexy man, she would have thrown away her apprehensions and jumped at him, but no. She needed to get this out of the way. She needed to know for certain if Alric was the father of her son.
“Speak,” Alric ordered, his strong arms persisted to secure her.
“I met an accident eight years back. I lost part of my memory.” Alana paused, she wondered if it was the right time to tell the man about Kai, but considering how she just met the guy, she held back and said, “So, I know that I met someone way back then, but the details of it was something that I had forgotten.”
‘Obviously, because I have a son and Kai was proof that I met the forgettable man who was not forgettable after all,’ she mumbled in her thoughts. At the memory of her aunt’s description of the man, she made a mental note to visit her grave and rant.
Alana raised her head and watched as Alric’s face grimaced. His brows thoroughly met, and his nose flared in anxiety.
“Amnesia?” He snarled, almost like a beast grunting at her. “But werew - “
“What?” She asked, noticing him hold back.
Alric gulped whatever lines he had to say and leaned his back against the chair, his hands maintained to embrace her. He declared, “Nevermind.”
“What matters now is that I have found you again,” he said, while one of his hands crawled to her head. He stroked the length of her silky smooth hair and added, “And you are not... going anywhere.”
Dissecting every word he said, Alana looked down at his biceps, the long and thick arms that held her firmly, and she gasped. She had to admit, he was right, not to mention his men were right outside the door. She certainly was… not going anywhere.
Clearing her throat, she replied, “I believe you.”
~Alric~ “But werew -“ Alric stopped himself, recalling how this girl had no idea of her own true nature. All the more, she did not have her wolf, another mystery to her he had to solve. ‘She doesn’t remember? And all because she met an accident?’ Alric was in doubt, but he also discerned her sincerity. He gulped his theories down his throat and further tightened his hold around Alana. He maintained to savor the surrounding air, pressing his lips on her head. Alric recognized, perhaps, there was some truth to what she said. Since she had no wolf, she could not heal the same way as he did or any regular werewolves. She could not be a late bloomer, though. As far as he knew, Alana should already be twenty-six by now. Back in The Port of Valmore, the largest territory within their name, they had late bloomers who shifted after they turned eighteen. Alana, however, was a different story. If only they were together then, h
~Alana~ Patrick, Alana’s manager, was in doubt. Alric Valmore allowed her to leave when he had earlier named Alana to be their aide while in the city. Thankfully, the powerful CEO confirmed his approval, but the odd thing was, he did not allow John to relieve her for that afternoon either. Still, Alana’s working hours were nearly done, and she deserved time off, anyway. More than just being worn out during the days prior to Alric’s arrival, she utterly had to think things thoroughly. ‘Is Alric really Kai’s father?’ She pondered while walking into a grocery store located close to her neighborhood. She was still in her uniform. Her mini-skirt displayed her slender legs and her vest hugged her frame superbly. Alana knew it would be for another two hours before Kai would arrive home, and since she needed the time to think, she made it a point to walk around. What better way to walk around than buying groceries at the same
~Alana~ Inserting the key in, Alana’s hands were shaking. “Darn!” The memory of Claire and Lilith belittling her still remained in her thoughts that her face was still red in exasperation. Alana was standing on her porch, trying to open her front door, and had been for five minutes since she arrived. When she dropped the set of keys, she bent over and carelessly attempted to open the door once more. It did not open. Her blood was rising, so she shook the doorknob vigorously, and alas, she broke it with ease. Alana’s mouth fell agape, and she took the deepest breath for that day. “Great. I guess my day is getting more exciting by the hour.” “Mommy!” She turned to find her son, being escorted by her neighbor, Aiden. “What are you doing here so early?” “Good afternoon, Alana. Didn’t expect to find you here at this time,” Aiden said, his smile was from ear to ear when he offered, “How about... we have d
~Alana~ “Mom, what’s my daddy like?” Kai inquired while his amber orbs sparkled to near bright gold. His lips thinned as they curved up, unable to hide his excitement. Alana was tucking Kai into bed. She sat on one side, pulling the blanket up to his torso. She beamed at her son’s curiosity and replied cautiously, “Well, Kai... I - I have yet to know your father.” Slightly throwing her head back, she blinked, and her mind wandered to her very remarkable afternoon. She blushed at the thought of Alric and she flushed while describing him, “But, physically, he is a tall and muscular man. He is a businessman from Eastern Dhuran.” “Is he as handsome as me, mom?” Kai asked, chuckling. A giggle escaped Alana’s lips. Her striking blue eyes glinted as she revealed, “Yes, he is very handsome. In fact, you resemble him very much.” “Mom, why is your face so red?” Kai probed, making Alana feel her cheeks with her fingers. “Do y
~Alric~ “Max,” Alric greeted, his chin up and his eyes intensely peering at his Gamma. His colossal figure, shadowing against the dusk, his walk wielding like always. “Alpha,” Max replied, lowering his head. “You did not have - “ “I have to!” Taking a deep breath, his gaze landed on the second floor of the small home, and he resumed his words, “I had to know for myself.” Seeing how Max nodded, the great Alpha probed, “What is the best entry to the rooms? Up the tree? Climb at the back?” He was ready to put his muscles into good use, ready to climb like a Romeo would for his Juliet, and then Max replied, “Alpha Alric, the front door is open. You can enter there.” “What?” He snapped, snarling at his Gamma. “And why is that, Max?” Poor Max, strained at the mood of his Alpha. He swallowed air down his throat like it was his fault, to begin with. He stammered through his answer, “It - it was her doing, Alpha. Our futu
~Alana~ Alana was chasing her breath. Her throat appeared so dry, she repeatedly gulped down her own spew. Walking through the hallway and on the stairs, she soothed the drumming inside her chest. To say that she was nervous was an understatement. At that point, she was this close to having a heart attack. “Mom, hurry up! Dad’s waiting for you.” Two steps ahead of her, Kai casually said with a smile, and that further made her heart restless. “Kai, please stay behind me. I want to make sure you did not randomly let a stranger inside our house and claim him to be your father,” Alana scolded, her voice barely audible, hoping to keep the exchange between her and Kai. Her son dismissed her worries. He chuckled at her mother’s assumptions and said, “I’m pretty sure he is my dad, mom. Besides, he said so himself.” It was the most anxious walk she had ever made, all while making it into the kitchen of her
~Alana~ It was a good ten minutes that Alana rested her face against Alric’s broad chest and it was heavenly. In his arms, she felt at home, protected, and… uniquely, loved. Alana swore she must be going out of her mind. She was this close to deciding how she was falling in love with Kai’s father. How her feelings developed at such a rate was completely bewildering. After some time, Alric loosened his arms around her. With one arm remaining around her back, he cupped her chin and asked, “Feeling better now?” She nodded and smiled sheepishly. As her eyes wandered to her bed, she frowned and asked, “Alric, did - did you sleep on my bed?” A hiss left Alric’s lips but his expression turned mischievous when he revealed, “Yes, in fact… you came at my touch.” ‘Ahh!’ Her insides were screaming. How could she? She thought it was a dream, but apparently, it was real! ‘Did I really cum in my sleep?’ Her body stiffened and h
~ Alana~ Arriving at Bay International Academy, Alana was feeling apprehensive. She was biting her lip and frequently playing with her hair. The second the luxury car parked at the side of the school gates, she saw one of Kai’s classmates, Rob. His mother, Heather, was also there with him. She sucked in a breath, realizing her worries were real. She really did not like Heather. Rob and Kai were friends, but Rob’s mother was spiteful. She had always looked down on Kai for being an illegitimate child, and an unwealthy one at that. It worried her how Alric would react to Heather’s curt remarks. “Daddy, let’s go. Let me introduce you to my friend,” Kai said, while grabbing Alric’s wrist. Dean already opened the car, and the boy was ready to meet his friend. Alric, who had just taken a phone call, replied, “Give me a moment, son.” He gazed at Alana, giving an apologetic stare, as if silently asking for a minute on the pho
