Charlotte bit her lip nervously as her car drove past the gates of the Gerano mansion. Her anxiety increased as they got closer and closer to Sebastian's house. She prayed that he shouldn't have gotten home. Her prayer was however not answered as she could see Sebastian standing in front of the entrance to the mansion. Marcelo parked the car and got out of it. One of the men who was standing guard outside the mansion rushed and opened the door for Charlotte. If it was up to her, she would wait in the car until Sebastian got tired of standing and went in but she couldn't do so. After mustering all the courage she could gather, Charlotte stepped out of the car and walked up to Sebastian. "Hi," she greeted in a low voice. Sebastian looked at her but didn't acknowledge her greeting. This made Charlotte even more nervous. Sebastian grabbed Charlotte by her wrist and pulled her to stand beside him. He then turned to Marcelo who was standing in front of him with his head bowed.
"Yes we have. That was one of the reasons why I was calling you. We found out that it was a woman who was behind the post," he said."She is a die hard fan of Amy Williams. That must have been the reason she defamed you," Henry revealed."Are you sure that you found the right person?" Charlotte asked as she didn't want to jump to conclusions."I'm a hundred percent positive that we found the right person," Henry answered. "What do you want to do?" He asked.Charlotte sighed. "I don't know yet brother. We both know the punishment for those who cross us but the thing is that I promised myself I wouldn't go back to that life," said Charlotte. "Just cause you changed doesn't mean the world will change, Charlotte. The longer you keep quiet, the more people mess with you," Henry said. "Take Amy for example, the only reason she still messes with you is because you haven't taught her a lesson yet and I'm still solid in my opinion that you should let me take care of her.""Brother, Amy's life
"Wow, this woman has some guts. She lives in a residential apartment owned by the Brooks yet, she still has the guts to defame me; I like her," Charlotte commented as the car halted to a stop in front of a residential complex. The investigation done by Henry's men led them to find out that she lived in this building. Two security guards who recognized his car rushed to them and opened the doors for them. "Thank you," Charlotte said and dipped her hand into her bag to give the guards a tip."Thank you Ma'am," the two guards said in happiness. The tip she had given them was more than their salary of two months combined. All eyes fell on them immediately as they entered the building. All the workers were shocked to see that Charlotte had come there. Henry always came from time to time to inspect the building but Charlotte had never been there. The women who were present started trying to scrutinize Charlotte but they couldn't find anything wrong with her. After all, she was the number
“Please, don’t leave me,” Sebastian pleaded as he buried his head in Charlotte’s chest. “I promise you I’m not going to leave you,” Charlotte said as she ran her fingers through his hair, trying to get him to calm down. “I’m here,” she kept on whispering to him and it was very effective in calming Sebastian down as his breathing started returning to normal. He had stayed beside his phone from the time Charlotte left the house with Henry. He didn’t realize how much he liked having her around until he saw her leaving. She had brought about a wave of fresh air and light into his boring life and he was not prepared to go back to that boring life. He became apprehensive when he couldn’t reach Charlotte. He thought Henry had taken her away from him forever. This thought led to old memories and old wounds opened up which led to him having a severe panic attack; one he hadn’t had in years. “Sebastian, come let’s get you to the bed,” Charlotte said. Even though he had calm down, he was s
Sebastian didn’t feel the warmth he had been lying on anymore. He frowned as he was unable to sleep anymore. He slowly opened his eyes and was met with the familiar ceiling of his room. He removed the duvet and sat up on the bed. Sebastian wasn’t feeling a headache any longer, thankfully. He ran his fingers through his head, and tried to remember what had happened last night. The last thing he remembered was calling Charlotte numerous times but she did not answer. ‘What happened after that?’ he asked himself and closed his eyes trying to remember what happened next. He remembered having a panic attack. In order to control it before it got worse, he left his study and headed to his room to use his medication. He could feel the panic attack worsening and so, he overdosed himself. He was lucky that he didn’t die from the overdose and only had a fever. The effects also caused him to feel drowsy and unlike himself it was like he was drunk. “Shit!” Sebastian exclaimed in horror as he
“Why are you so nervous?” Victoria asked Charlotte. She had noticed that from the time they had left the Gerano mansion, Charlotte had been fidgeting and was lost in her thoughts. “I’m just thinking about the fact that the wedding is in seven days. I’m starting a new journey and just thinking about it makes me nervous,” Charlotte confessed. Victoria put her hand over Charlotte and squeezed it lightly to comfort her. “I know how you feel. I was also nervous when I was about to get married to Alexander but I can assure you that you have nothing to worry about,” she said. ‘I’m getting married to Sebastian, everything about him worries me,” Charlotte thought to herself. Victoria smiled as she could tell what was running through Charlotte’s mind. “I know Sebastian can be a bit annoying and cold…” “A bit?” Charlotte blurted out. She gasped and quickly used her hand to cover her mouth. She had not meant to say that out loud. “I’m sorry,” she mumbled. “It’s okay,” Victoria said. “I’m no
“Everything else seems to be in order,” Anne said as she examined the dress one last time to be sure she hadn’t missed anything. “Yes, everything is in order, can I please take it off now?” Charlotte pleaded. This was the third and final dress she was wearing but her patience was running thin. They had been at it for over three hours. She finally understood what Diego meant when he asked her earlier, if she had anything planned for the day. These three women were a terrible combination sent to irritate her. Along with trying out her dresses, Victoria wanted to kill many birds with one stone and so, she called in the hair stylist, jewelry designer and a bunch of other people who were going to be involved in getting her ready on her ‘big day.’ Her mother and Victoria had insisted that she would style her hair three different times for the three dresses and so, they had to pick out three different hairstyles they thought were suitable for the dress. Due to the fact that each of the
“What do you want from me, mom?” Sebastian asked, straight to the point. He had a lot of things to do and he wasn't ready to listen to his mother's scolding.“Trust me Sebastian, the list of things I want from you is endless,” Victoria answered. Sebastian took a deep breath, trying to get himself to calm down. “Why did you call me?” He rephrased his question. “I called to talk about you and Charlotte,” Victoria replied. It was just as Sebastian had predicted. Hearing Charlotte’s name made his blood boil as he was reminded of a fight he was trying so hard to forget. “I’m busy mom, I do not have time to chit- chat with you about Charlotte.”“Charlotte is going to be your wife Sebastian, your work shouldn’t be more important than her,” Victoria scolded. She really wanted Charlotte to be happy and her son was not making things easier for her. He needed to understand that Charlotte was an exception to all the strict rules he had in his life. Sebastian touched the bridge of his nose as
