Chapter sixty one

Ashlyn's POV

He was no longer wearing his wedding attire, but his usual signature look. Long black breeks, knee boots and sleeves unbuttoned to his chest.

"Satisfied your cravings?" He asked me, not in a cold, harsh or sweet way. I could not tell what he was thinking, for he was not portraying any emotions.

I shook my head. "I did not do it. I controlled myself." I said to him.

Anger flashed in his eyes and he quickly masked it. "Good for you." He said rising to his feet and walked past me.

"I'm sorry." I said turning around to his retreating figure. I did not know if he wanted an apology, but to me he deserved it.

He turned around sharply and this time I could see his emotions. It was anger and he was trying to control it.

"For what?" He asked in pretense.

"For leaving when the wedding was still in hold." I replied, looking down at my feet. The smell of blood was not gone and I was beginning to wonder where it was from.

"Spare me." He said, walking away.
