" Tell me the truth," I said. " Is Lorelei in South Africa?"

Nagisa was lying flat on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. The thin sunlight coming through the mist highlighted her dark hair and deepened the shadows under her eyes.

She didn't say anything. I could see she was hesitating.

My lips lifted up in a mean smile. " You wouldn't say anything, would you?"

She remained silent.

I sighed. " Oh dear, it can't be helped could it?" Then I stood up and walked over to the tray of Knives on the table. " How about we play a game, Nagisa. For every question I ask you, if I don't get a valid answer, I cut off your fingers."

Even that, didn't seemed to shake her. " What makes you think he isn't in South Africa?"

" Now don't be difficult," I returned back to her with a razor sharp knife. " The fake Nagisa you set me up with told me Lorelei's in South Africa but I don't believe it. I think she's lying. What the hell, she is lying, isn't she?"
