Chap 12: Emotions are hard things to say

Azura returned to the car; she thought a lot; finally, she decided to find Conal to tell him about the mysterious person last night. Maybe Conal will know him too. After that, Azura drove to the corporation where Conal worked. She went to the reception desk this time, asking the staff to see Conal, but she was rejected. Because if Azura wants to meet him, she has to make an appointment in advance. So Azura had to wait outside for Conal, hoping to meet him.

It was past seven o'clock in the evening, and Azura still hadn't seen Conal; she was starting to lose patience. She told herself, trying to wait for him a little longer. Maybe he has a lot of work, so he leaves work later. At this moment, a luxury car stopped in front of her. A noble, beautiful girl in a gorgeous dress, looking at her gave off an aura of authority and elegance.

However, the girl had no intention of going inside the building. She pulled out a cigarette; the act of lighting it was skilful. She leaned back against the car, took a long puff of her cigarette, then dialled someone.

"Hi. I've arrived and am waiting for you, Conal."

Azura turned to look at the beautiful girl in front of him. This person is waiting for Conal. Looking at her dress, Azura also guessed that they had a date tonight.

Azura suddenly felt silly. Yet she stood here waiting for Conal. It turns out he already has a girlfriend. It's just that Conal never went public with his parents. And that beautiful girl is also why Conal doesn't want to marry Alice. And she was just a joke to him, nothing more, nothing less. She really wanted to run away, but her legs seemed to be paralyzed, and she couldn't even walk.

Finally, Conal appeared. His steps seemed more hurried, warmth in Conal's eyes, seeing the girl. Didn't Azura understand why her heart ached like that? Disappointment over him flooded Azura's mind. It turns out; Conal was just a liar.

Azura gave a bitter smile and prepared to leave, not letting Conal see her appear here. He would think again that she was bothering the two of them. Or it could be misleading, affecting the relationship between him and his lover.

"Azura, what are you doing here?" Conal's voice calling her name startled her. However, Azura didn't turn around and continued walking, pretending she hadn't heard.

However, a warm hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. Azura quickly withdrew her hand, standing a few feet away from him. Azura glanced at the girl behind him; she was staring at the two of them.

Conal watched her for a moment, his eyes showing concern; he asked: "How long have you been standing here? You have something to tell me, don't you?"

Azura hesitantly said, "No. I just walked over here. It's a coincidence."

Conal frowned, a little annoyed that she purposely evaded his question. He coldly replied, "Yes. I just finished work. You don't have anything to say to me?"

Azura was silent for a long time, then calmed down and said, "I want to ask you where tomorrow's duel is?"

"Just that?" Conal said in a slightly angry tone. Azura nodded silently and looked away. Conal realized that she was keeping her distance from him.

"In the pine forest, behind my house," Conal spoke reluctantly and annoyed.

"OK," Azura replied emphatically and walked away quickly. Because she didn't want to see, they got in the car together and left in front of her. So she chose to run away first.

Watching Azura leave him, Conal felt a little upset inside. He returned to the beautiful girl's car and said: "Let's go. Customers are still waiting for us."

Sitting in the car, Reana was curious about the relationship between him and the girl just now and asked: "Is that girl your girlfriend?"

Conal sat with his back to the back of the chair to relax after a stressful working day. He glanced out at the street and, after a long time, answered Reana: "Her name is Azura. How do you see her?"

"Very beautiful." Reana, without thinking, directly praised Azura. "Conal, you surprised me quite a bit. I thought no girl would be able to touch you. What a freak."

Conal didn't listen to Reana's reproaches; his mind was only on Azura. She waited for him for a long time under the building, but why lie. He felt uncomfortable remembering Azura's very resentful expression. What happened to her in the end?

"Does Azura know you're a werewolf?" Reana repaints her lipstick while asking Conal. But seeing that Conal didn't seem to mind her question, Reana turned around, slapped Conal hard on the arm, and said, "Conal, can you hear me?"

"She knows. She also knows that I am a werewolf with the ability to be immortal."

"What? Are you joking?" Reana exclaimed in surprise, seemingly in disbelief. She questioned Conal: "But why does Azura know you so well? Don't tell me you're telling her the truth because you love her too much?"

Conal laughed at Reana's question; he calmly replied: "Do you think I'm that stupid? Azura is like us."

Reana was surprised again; she jumped on Conal, grabbed his collar, and growled: "Fuck! Do you dare to hide this from me until now? Do you consider me your friend? Bad stuff."

After saying that, Reana pushed Conal to a corner, sulking turned her face out the car door, not bothering to talk to him. Conal could only grin; he adjusted his clothes neatly and explained: "Actually, she is Harem's subordinate. My relationship with her is not what you think it is."

Reana frowned, her expression changing when she heard Harem's name. As a werewolf, no one does not know when hearing this name. As far as Reana knew, Harem Henry must have been a man full of tricks; his personality was very dangerous. She worriedly asked Conal:

"What did he send someone to find you?"

Conal said in a disdainful tone: "He wants me to marry his daughter."

"What? He and his henchmen are a bunch of nerves." Reana said in an angry voice. The face became more and more unsightly.

After that, Conal told Reana everything that had happened in the past two days; she was surprised and found the story between Conal and Azura very interesting. She said, "Tell the truth. Do you also like Azura already?"

"I don't know. Ever since I met Azura, I've felt like everything has been turned upside down. I have very unusual behaviour. Just now, she seems to be very angry with me, which makes me very frustrated inside." Conal directly confessed his feelings to Reana.

"Why do you want her to leave this place? You're such a villain." Reana patted Conal on the shoulder, then reminded him: "Let's get down! We'll talk about this at home later. Meeting customers now is important. Get your spirits back, handsome gentleman."

At this moment, Azura was parking in a quiet place, away from the city centre. She stepped inside the park to relieve her troubled mood. Thinking of the two of them together, she felt like she had lost something. Azura was suddenly startled when she realized she had a special affection for Conal. Is it because the smell of Conal's Alpha pheromones seduced an Omega like her?

While living in Montana, although Azura smelled a lot of the pheromones of other Alphas, the smell made her feel disgusted. Especially every time the Alphas looked at her, they gave off a strong smell of lustful pheromones. But Conal's pheromones smell was different; it made her feel very comfortable and secure when next to him. After thinking about it for a while, she finally accepted that she liked him.

As Azura was sitting on a park bench, she heard a woman's cry for help. Azura looked around but did not see a single person. Because it is winter, there are fewer people here at night. Then she heard a chuckle from somewhere. It could be the sound of children playing somewhere in the park. Just as Azura was about to leave, that laughter rang out again. But this time, it's a bit spooky and creepy. This is followed by the pitiful cry of a seven or eight years old.

Azura realized something was amiss here. She pulled the gun from her back and was alert. She stood behind a nearby tree to observe. After a while, footsteps running towards her got closer and closer. Azura saw two children running past with frightened faces. Suddenly, two moving shadows popped up from above and grabbed the two children.

"Look at how soft their skin is. It's been a long time since I tasted fresh blood."

"Enjoy today. Eating a lot of frozen blood makes me sick."

Hearing the conversation just now, Azura knew that they were vampires. Those two guys are trying to suck the children's blood, which is terrible for the two children. Without fear, Azura stepped forward and attacked them with bullets.

"You guys are disgusting," Azura said coldly, her face filled with murderous intent. Seeing her, the two children quickly got up and ran behind her, their bodies shaking. The children are terrified. Azura comforted her, "It's OK. Everything will be OK."

Two female vampires with red eyes looked at Azura and then laughed, revealing two sharp teeth. "It turned out to be a female wolf."

Azura grinned scornfully with mockery. She whispered to the two children: "I count to three; remember to run as fast as possible out of this park. Run into any house and ask for help, you know?"

The little girl clutched Azura's shirt and said, "What about you? You won't die, will you?"

"Not tonight. You start counting."

"One, Two, Three." As soon as Azura finished speaking, the two children quickly ran as fast as possible. And Azura stayed to keep the two female vampires. Seeing their fresh prey run away, they got angry and started attacking Azura. She knew that these silver bullets could only hold them back for a while, not kill them, but to buy time for the two children; she had to.

Two female vampires heal very quickly. Azura's gun was out of ammunition; she pulled out the silver knife hidden in her body to fight them. Azura had killed a vampire with a slit in the neck instantly.

Seeing her comrades die miserably before her, she was also seriously injured, so she panicked and hurriedly fled. However, Azura did not let her escape so easily.

Azura held the sharp silver knife to the vampire's neck and began to question her.

"Are you sure you know the recent murders involving werewolves?"

She replied, trembling, "I know, I know. It's because of the drug. This drug has a stimulant, making werewolves unable to control themselves."

Azura pressed the knife close to her neck, saying coldly with threats: "Tell me, where did you get this medicine? Who made it?"

"I do not know. I also only heard from some of my kind. All I know is that this potion works on both werewolves and vampires. It will make men transform into wolf form within minutes and become stronger. And for women, it will stimulate estrus faster than the cycle."

After saying that, she glanced at Azura to see what was happening. Afraid that Azura wouldn't believe her, the vampire continued, "I have a potion left. If you don't believe it, you can bring it to the lab to check."

While saying that, she took out a potion from her chest; the water inside was golden in colour. As Azura was concentrating on the tonic, she suddenly stabbed Azura in the back, took a silver vial and injected it directly into Azura's body.

"Tonight, I think you'll have to find a male."

After saying that, she hurriedly ran away. Now that Azura was alone, she knew she had let her guard down against a cunning female vampire. Moreover, she also knew that she had just been injected with the stimulant that the female vampire had just said. She is in danger. With the last bit of sanity, Azura returned to her car and found a nearby motel to prepare for the intense pain - this is the pain of estrus.
