Chapter 22

Reid's POV

Once we got to the table Julian again wouldn't let me set him down in his own chair. I think he was even more intimidated this time because everyone was sitting around the table.

So instead he settled for sitting in my lap which I don't mind one bit. My sister placed his plate in front of him and one in front of me then walked away to finish passing out food to everyone else.

His reaction to food is the same every time. He looks at it longingly as if I'm not going to allow him to eat it. As if we placed it there to tease him or something.

"Baby you can go ahead and eat." I said

He just sat there staring at it with a sad face while biting his lip and playing with his fingers as he held his hands together against his chest.

I looked around the table and noticed everyone staring at him with a sad face. This is the first time they've witnessed his reaction to food.
