SOLD

The same rustic smell of old iron beds filled her nostrils. Opening her eyes, she searched for the edge of the bed. Switching off her alarm, she rested her feet out of the bed on the ground.

With a long heavy sigh, she searched for her white cane. She stood up and started to make her way to the restroom.

“Aren’t you supposed to walk without that?” A familiar heavy voice filled her ears. A shiver ran through her body. She gulped down roughly. Staring in the direction where the voice came from.

Straight at his face.

“I… ehmm… I.. yes. I must be out of my head.” She stuttered, her hands trembled. She tried to fold the stick and put it aside. But with those trembling hands she could do no good.

The man sighed, “I don’t understand why the fuck would someone want to buy you.” He rolled his eyes, snatching the stick, folding it, and keeping it aside.

“I… I’m sorry.” She let out a whimper, getting scared.

“Of course you are. Isn’t that the only thing you know how to say properly, Luna?” He scoffed, staring at her in complete distress.

She lowered her head, fiddling with her fingers. “I’m sorry, Theo.” She whispered again, loudly. So that he would leave her alone in the early morning.

It was nothing new, someone, watching her while she is asleep or someone torturing her early in the morning. It’s like a cycle that keeps on repeating. She wonders when it will all come to an end.

“Well, at least you learned how to identify voices and stopped calling me Matias. I hate that motherfucker.” Theo shook his head and opened a bag of clothes he brought.

The sound of a zipper ran through her ears. She was curious what he held in that bag.

“Go and take a shower. You are going for the auction today.” Theo sounded disappointed. Well, it's been almost four years since she was living there, learning how to deceit people by not showing she is blind.

“M…me?” She wasn’t sure if she heard that right.

“Unfortunately, yeah.” He sighed, picking out some pieces of cloth which they would call a full dress-up. Theo was disappointed that the only girl he liked here is now gonna go away. But nevertheless, he didn’t treat her the way he liked her.

Luna turned around, counting the steps to the bathroom. She closed the door behind. But suddenly remembered, Theo would get mad at her for closing the door.

Turning on the squeaky shower. A weird thought ran down her mind. What if the person who purchases her, treats her like a sex doll? What if he finds out she is blind? Will he treat her like trash as well?

“Come on. You have washed enough!” Theo entered the bathroom, bringing the clothes. Luna dried herself with the towel.

Stepping out of the shower, she stood in front of Theo. He dressed her up fighting his anticipation to fuck her since she is going to be sold now.

“Let’s go!” He muttered, turning his head to the other side. Taking her hand he walked down the halls.

Finally reaching a room with glasses all around. A stage in between where she has to stand up as an item to be sold. She already knew the steps all around the auction house.

It was a piece of cake to get on the stage without anyone’s help. Theo glanced at Julie. He nodded and she nodded.

“Next gentlemen, I present to you a God fairy. Twenty-four years old, a pure virgin. Fair skin. Dark brown hairs and oceanic eyes. Luna Blake.” Julie announced her presence.

As soon as the announcement ran through Luna’s ears, goosebumps aroused on her body. She wore two pieces of clothes with high heels. Soon the bids started getting more and more even.

“A million bucks!” An old man in his 60s shouted at last. His voice sounded old as well. Luna got worried about her predictions.

She knew how it would end. She will be sold to an old guy and he will abuse her to death. There is no end to this misery.

“A million, it is then!” Julie shouted with bliss in her voice. Luna frowned.

“Three million!”  A young and heavy voice calmly said. An awkward silence filled the room. Luna had no idea what the hell was going on.

The whole auction crew was stunned to hear bids on her. Three million is fifty times higher the price of what they bought her.

“Three million. Done!” Julie shouted with more than bliss in her voice.

She clearly was happy and she was more than happy. As if she would start dancing the minute she gets off. Selling a person and making money out of that is just wicked enough and being happy about that is too much.

“Hey! Blakie, Come on!” Theo whispered, loudly. Luna lowered her head and walked to him.

Julie came down from the announcing room. She quickly engulfed Luna into her arms. Startling her to death.

“Our lucky charm. I knew you would bring a lot of luck the day we bought you!” She flashed a big toothy smile.

“You said she is a black sheep.” Theo rolled his eyes, clearly not that much happy about anything.

“Come on! Let it be the past. Get her ready to be out. And look, Luna. Keep this in mind, always. Never let the man find out about your blindness or we are done for. He will kill you first and then us, understand?” Julie warned, getting all serious.

Today it’s an awkward day for Luna. This much normal talk and sweetness isn’t something she is used to here.

“Why would he kill her? Who the hell would do that?” Theo knew the only people coming here are cowards and perverts.

“He is a new one. He is ehm... He is a big fish.” Julie was hiding something so obvious.

“Julie!” Theo narrowed his eyes.

“Fine. He is a mafia heir. Carson Meyer, if you know, you know.” She flipped her hair, dropping a sudden bomb on everyone.

“Wh…what?” Luna was in disbelief. The worst she thought was of an old man but to a mafia. That’s messed up.

“You mean that Meyer.” Theo wanted to make sure, Julie nodded. “For the fuck sake Julie!! Are you out of your mind?” He hissed, rubbing his temples.

“Why are you overreacting?” Julie made it sound like it’s nothing.

“Oh, I’m overreacting? Really? Did you sell her to the Meyer Mafia? Do you even fucking know what he does? Carson Meyer is someone you wouldn’t want to cross paths with. He won’t even ask a fucking reason before getting a bullet in your head.” Theo kicked the wall in frustration.

“I.. Don’t worry. Luna is good. She will do just fine.” Julie shrugged her shoulders.

“Oh come on! Whom are you kidding? She will tell him the truth the minute he raises his voice at her.” Theo shook his head in distrust.

“I don’t want to go with him,” Luna whispered, shedding a tear she was holding back the minute they went on the stage.

Julie and Theo stared at her, blankly for a minute. Before Julie pulled her hair, “Of course, you will! Say that one more time and I’ll make you regret your whole existence.” She hissed in her ears.

“I’m sorry.” Luna whimpered, squinching her eyes with the pain.

“Let her go, Julie. She is not a threat at the moment.” Theo pulled Julie’s hand back, making her let go of Luna’s hair.

“What’s going on?” Drake shouted, walking beside Carson towards them.

All of them shivered, gulping down heavily. Luna lowered her head, slightly. Keeping her eyes down. Carson’s eyes landed on Luna. All of a sudden his regret of throwing his money away on her changed into pride.

He couldn’t see that clearly behind the glasses. She is really pretty and worth his money. But he still thinks three million is too much even for that.

“Hello, Mr. Meyer. We were just taking your purchase to get ready to leave here,” Julie replied, awkwardly letting out a laugh and stopped, noticing no one else was laughing.

“She is a girl, not an item. Have some respect.” Drake responded. His dragon tattoo on the neck and his specs were iconic for a person who assists the most dangerous mafia man alive.

“Sorry, Sir.” Julie bit the inside of her cheek.

Carson didn’t move a single glance away from Luna. And she didn’t look up for a single second. He was getting impatient to see her oceanic eyes but she just won’t look at him.

“We will get her ready at ten. Please come with me. I’ll show you around for the time being. Theo!” Julie singled him to take Luna away and do the necessities.

He held her wrist and was about to leave when Carson interrupted.

“Stop!” He growled.

Theo and Luna turned around. She was perfectly trained to look in the eyes of the person who is talking. Since she got a glimpse of his voice she knew where to look.

“Made her wear some proper clothes. Cover her properly.” Carson raised one of his brows, staring at her beautiful physic.

“Yes, Sir.” Theo nodded and took off with Luna. Rushing on his heels.
