I fall down on Nikolai’s chest, trying to catch my breath and feel his arms constrict around me. The fact that we just had sex hit me like a ton of bricks, and now my face is heating up as I remember the words that came out of my mouth.

“Hey, little Rogue,” Nikolai teases and kisses the side of my head. “There’s no reason to get shy.”

“Says the one who never gets shy!” I say, burying my face in his chiselled chest or trying to. He chuckles as I say this, holding me even closer to him.

I don’t know what possessed me to come to Nikolai’s room last night; I think it had something to do with everything that happened at the cabin. I’ve missed him, missed being in his arms, but the lies and violence from today just bubbled over into my need to be held.
