His Guilt.

She took one step forward, followed by another one and took a deep breath just like Jackson had asked her to do.

“Miss— McCain?” Ephraim asked glaring at the woman standing before him with her head bowed down.

‘Pretty.’ He thought, scrutinising her. She was curved in all the right places, her brown chocolate eyes shimmering with fear and her long black hair made her even more beautiful. He licked his lips, he had already imagined sinking his razor sharpened fangs in her naked exposed beautiful pale neck. But the aura around her felt strange to him, something wasn't right. He wasn't good at determining that kind of stuff because he was a vampire.

“Please have a seat Miss McCain,” Ephraim said with a smile.

Accalia nodded slightly and took a seat, facing down. She couldn't find herself looking him in the eyes.

“So you're here for the secretary position?” Ephraim asked the most obvious thing.

Accalia nodded and answered, “Yes.” She didn't stammer that time.

“Why do you think that you're the perfect candidate for this job?”

“I-i... I-i don't know.” She answered the first thing that came into her mind and she knew that she had already messed up everything.

Ephraim furrowed his brows in confusion. “I didn't get what you were trying to say, Miss McCain.”

She didn't know what to say. It was all too hard for her, firstly the man was like he was interrogating her and secondly she was feeling strange already. She didn't want to work there, Jane would just forgive her but she couldn't do it, she just couldn't do it.

“I-i... W-want to leave now, i-i can't do it please forgive me for wasting your time sir.” Accalia grabbed her bag and ran outside the office. She fastened her steps and bumped into Jackson.

“Lia what happened?” Jackson asked.

“N-nothing happened. I want out.” Her grasp on the bag got tighter as she walked away from Jackson. She never looked back when she walked out of the entrance door.

Tears streamed down her plump cheeks. She couldn't do it, in all her life Davis had only locked her up in her room so she wouldn't talk to anyone. She was only used to pain in her life, only pain.

Jane was going to be disappointed in her, she thought.

“Lia darling...” She heard Jane's voice in front of her.

“Honey, why are you crying? Tell me what happened there, did he shout at you or say terrible things to you?” Jane asked worriedly.

“I will go in and teach them a lesson.” Accalia grasped Jane's hand in an attempt to stop her.

“T-they never said anything. I failed Mrs McCain, I couldn't answer the questions,” Accalia concluded, her head bowed down in shame.

“Oh darling. It's not a big deal that you failed to answer the questions my love. Just calm down and take a deep breath. I'm going to make you a hot cup of soup when we get home, it's gonna rain soon let's go Lia.” Mrs McCain ushered her into the car. Accalia had been silent, just as always.

Jane sighed, she really hoped that Accalia would get the job but she should have known better than to force it on her, she was very fragile and vulnerable like an egg.

“It doesn't matter if you got the job or not but I'm just happy that you tried.”

Jane made her the soup just as she promised and it was surely raining outside.

“Lia, what happened to your parents?” Jane finally asked, she had been seeking to ask but she was afraid that Accalia was going to break down. Jane didn't know any of Accalia's past, she just knew from the start that Accalia was helpless and she needed her love, Jane was willing to give it all to her.

“T-they died in a car accident,” Accalia answered.

“I'm so sorry dear. You didn't have other trusted family relatives who you would depend on?” Accalia thought about Davis, she trusted him but he turned into a monster the moment her parents died.

Silence filled the room. Accalia didn't mutter a word.

“It's okay if you don't feel comfortable talking about it. I totally understand how you must be feeling right now. Let me tuck you in so you can sleep.” Jane offered, just as she always does. She always tucks her in and surprisingly Accalia never says no.

After tucking her in, Jane gave Accalia a goodnight kiss and exited her room.

Accalia felt sad that she couldn't share her past with Jane. She knew that she wouldn't judge her but her past was bitter to let out.

She closed her eyes, this time she didn't see amber eyes but Davis's evil face, his eyes were red with fury. She has never seen Davis in her dreams but amber eyes but... Did it mean that Davis was going to find her soon? Accalia thought, her heart racing.

“N-no please..” She curled herself up and sobbed silently.

Jane heard her sobbing again and that time she wasn't willing to ignore it. She knocked on her door but Accalia never opened. She suddenly remembered that she had a spare key to Accalia's room.

“Lia honey?” Jane panicked bolting into the room. What she saw made her heart break into a million pieces.

“Lia...” She called in a small strangled voice.

“N-no please..don't hurt me. H-he is going to find me soon...and hurt me...”

“Calm down, I'm here. I won't let anyone hurt you.” Jane engulfed her into her arms and Accalia's body stiffened before she melted into Jane's motherly embrace.

“D-don't let him take me away....please..”

“I won't let anyone take you away from me. You're the only person that keeps me alive Lia. I will never let anyone take you away, trust me.” Jane swore.

After a few minutes she heard Accalia's faint snores. Jane laid her head on a pillow and shielded her with a blanket. A tear slipped out of her eyes, rolling down her wrinkled cheeks, she wondered what would have happened to the poor girl that traumatised her to this extent.

“Mom...please don't leave me..” She heard her mutter in her sleep. Jane slept beside her and wrapped her arms around Accalia.

* * * LYCAN * * *

The constant slamming of skin was heard from the tower. Loud female moans were heard, almost cries. It was the full moon again, where Draugluin can't control his urges, just like every other full moon he can't control his urges but none of the female wolves satisfied his needs enough. He tried to resist the haze, but he couldn't. There was only one woman he craved for and it was Leia, she was no more.

His thrusts became more violent, aggressive and the she-wolf couldn't take it anymore.

“Alpha... I can't anymore..” The she-wolf whose name was Embry cried out. Daminor got back to his senses and threw the she-wolf on the bed.

“Clean up and make use of the door.”

“Alpha.. I-i...”

“Now Embry. I want to be left alone for now. Go and rest,” he tried his best to be calm. The guilt of being with another woman who's not Leia hits him hard every single full moon and more anger rushes through him. No woman will ever replace Leia in his heart. He can still smell her, only her, his Leia.

Embry quickly got up and cleaned as she was told by her Alpha. He doesn't force them to bed, they come by themselves. Almost all the she-wolves wants to Alpha Draugluin's Luna. There was only one powerful she-wolf after Leia and it was her best friend, Dysemy.

She was the strongest of them all and worthy of being Daminor's Luna but Daminor wasn't intrigued by any of them. Dysemy was like a goddess, green eyes and long red hair.

After taking his cold bath, he always preferred bathing with cold water. Lycan was different from the modern world of humans, there was no electricity, no fashionable clothing, they hunt for food and Daminor preferred that life instead of the human one.

Daminor went for a long run like he always does after the full moon. His ears twitched, and he smelt it, something was following him and it was huge.
