Chapter 5

Andrew looked around the parking lot hoping that Francis hadn't left. He searched for Francis car and he spotted it at the other side and noticed that Francis was almost getting inside.

"France" he called as he ran to meet him.

Francis hands held the car door confused as he searched for the voice that called his name. He notice Andrew running towards him and he waited to hear what he had to say.

He hoped it would be something nice and hopefully nothing mean.

Francis knew that he doesn't deserve anything from Andrew but Andrew is the only real friend he ever had even if he didn't want to admit it sometimes.

He was stund when Andrew suddenly pulled him into a hug but it didn't take long for him to relax and hug him back, his eyes heavy with tears.

"You moron. You call me your friend and you didn't tell me about your family"

Francis allowed the tears to fall. He didn't care if he looked like a cry baby at this moment. All that mattered is that he got his friend back.

"I'm sorry drew" he apologized again as he released the hug to look at him. "I'm sorry for being such a bad friend"

Andrew smiled softly "it's okay man, you don't have to apologize. Although if you had told me about yourself from the beginning this probably wouldn't have happened but it's okay we can still fix it. We can still make it up to my sister or better yet our sister"

The words caused a huge grin to form on Francis face making him look like an excited little kid "does that mean i'm forgiving?" He sounded hopeful but by the excited look on his face, he seem to already know the answer.

"Yeah" Andrew grinned back at him and before he knew it, he was pulled into a hug.

"Thanks drew. I promise you won't regret it" He smiled again but didn't reply.

After Francis finally let go, he opened his car door and looked at Andrew "get in I'll take you to the hospital"

Andrew shook hi head "just take me home. I need to freshen up before going there cause I plan to stay till evening"

Francis nodded and Andrew could still see the look of guilt in his eyes but he smiled to assure him that all was well.

The car ride was short but the friends made a good use of the time as they charted and laughed. It felt like they were getting to know each other all over again.

After dropping Andrew at his house, Francis left promising to come visit Amelia later. The only time he ever showed his face at the hospital was the day Amelia fell down the rooftop. Since then he never came to visit probably due to guilt.

Andrew walked into the silent house and he realized that his parent were probably still at the hospital.

He sighed as he made his way upstairs to his room. His parent has stayed with Amelia at the hospital and refused to return to their jobs but he wasn't complaining because he knew she needed them right now.

He passed by Amelia's room on the way to his but suddenly stopped. The room had been empty for weeks now. It has been long since he came into her room.

Slowly, he pushes open the door and walked in. Everything was just how he remembered and that caused a sad smile to appear on his face.

He looked towards her bed which was neatly made. The pink sheet was neat and the pillows were arranged. He wasn't surprised though; one thing Amelia hated is dirt.

He looked towards her study table which sat directly in front of the window. There were a lot of books mostly romance novels.

He could vividly remember that Amelia is a sucker for romance ever since she was little. He remembered she would always force him to tell her a fairy tale romance story at night and her favorite was little mermaid. He had totally memorized that story because she made him tell her every night before going to bed.

A tear fell from his eyes as he noticed a photo frame on her bed side table beside her alarm clock.

It was a picture of them both from last year Christmas. They were both wearing a Christmas hat and were smiling at the camera.

He moved forward and picked it up. After all he did to her she still kept it beside her. She still cared for him; she wanted him to realize his mistake and come back to being her brother but he was so blinded that he didn't realize.

He held the photo frame close to his chest as he sobbed "i'm sorry lia please forgive me" he muttered continuously as tears ran down his eyes. He couldn't lose her now. Not when he finally wanted to be her brother

He didn't know how long he stood there sobbing and holding unto the frame when suddenly the telephone began ringing from downstairs.

He place the photo frame back to it's normal position and rush downstairs to go get the telephone.

"Hello" he said into the receiver.

"Son, thank goodness you're home" his mother's teary voice poured out in happiness and relief causing his heart to beat a little faster.

"Mum is everything okay?" He asked even as his heart continue to pound against his rib cage. He was very anxious to hear what she called to say.

"Everything is fine son" she answered and sniffed "I just want you to come to the hospital quickly. Your sister is awake"
