Violet

After dinner I had a short conversation with Elijah and Sylvia over beignets. Of course, Sylvia didn’t dare touch the powdered sugar covered dessert. If only I had the same restraint.

Apparently, Sylvia was confident the doctors were ready to begin testing pack members for the rogue gene, and she wanted to know if I’d be interested in participating. Only a select few clinics would begin testing, but she thought it might ease my mind to know for sure if I had the rogue gene or not.

Elijah had reassured her how confident he was that I didn’t have the gene, but I accepted, nonetheless.

Right after, I hopped back into Olive’s Porsche and we took off down the road, venturing to another illustrious looking neighborhood, though this one was a bit smaller.

The place Olive called home was what the people in town would call a ‘mini-mansion,’ though it lacked the same cold and unbreakable feel Sylvia’s castle had. I caught only a glimpse of the inside, but there were a plethora of war
