Lillard women

"I don't have time to waste," he replied in a cold voice and she slowly walked to him.

His voice alone scares her and the thought of her spending even a month let alone a lifetime, scares the hell out of her.

She never thought her mom was heartless till yesterday, maybe she never really loved her as she claimed. After he was done she slowly walked to the bathroom not uttering a word.

He picked back his laptop as his phone started to ring. He sighed, just the person he wanted to talk to at the moment.

"Dad of all women in this world you picked this crazy one as my wife?" He questioned raising his voice which attracted Ariel. She walked to the door to eavesdrop to the conversation.

"You should be grateful to her. Because of her accepting to marry you the Lillard group of companies will be handed to you as the new director," His dad replied.

"I'm supposed to be worshiping her now? Let's make something straight dad, I don't love and will not love her so stop imagining this arranged marriage will change my stand,"

Ariel rolled her eyes at that and went ahead to have a shower.

"I stayed with your mom for a while without loving her but I'm sure you will get used to her company some day. Keep her in check, I need an heir soon. If she doesn't respect you then make her do it, women are supposed to be submissive after all," His dad adviced.

      "Ok dad,"

"But don't overdo it, she is still your wife and the way you present her to the public matters. She needs to be obedient, respectful, elegant, submissive and always have a smile. That is how the Lillard women behave, create that in her,"

"Whatever," he hanged up and threw the phone back on the bed.

Jayden was restless, since yesterday Ariel left and promised to call back once she landed home but she didn't.

What worried him the more was that her phone wasn't going through, he tried to watch the news just maybe the new would give him some hint if anything happened to the plane but nothing was there.

He was just about to call Ariel's best friend Beth when he heard a knock on the door.

"Who is there?" He asked hoping that maybe Ariel came back, only the heaven knew how much he had missed the love of his life.

Only two days since she left but it seemed like forever to him. He was starting to regret not going with her.

"It's me, Beth," she responded from outside and he got up from the couch to open the door for her.

"Have you talked to Ariel since yesterday?" He asked immediately he opened the door.

"No, that is why I'm here to see if you have talked to her. I have tried calling her but the phone is not going through," Beth answered.

"That's strange, come in," he offered stepping aside to give her space to walk in.

"Thank you, I was in the neighborhood. I'm from visiting Samantha and on my way back to my house, my car broke down so I thought why not kill two birds with one stone. My mechanic is on the way so I came to find out about Ariel as I wait for my mechanic, hope you don't mind," she explained herself.

"You can wait, should I offer you anything?"

"Thank God, you just thought in my direction, I'm starving," She chuckled.

"I'm not one of the best cooks in town but since you have been in my kitchen several times with Ariel, you can make yourself something,"

"Ok, thank you so much," she appreciated with a smile.

"I'll be upstairs, there was something I was doing," he excused himself and took the stairs.

Beth quickly took her phone and typed a text for Sam.

"He allowed me in his kitchen," she sent the text then went to the kitchen with her phone.

It didn't take long before Sam sent reply.

"It is a one in a lifetime opportunity, make good use of it. My source has told me that Ariel just got married but that information is not yet useful,"

"Why? I have always been in love with Jayden and this could be my opportunity to finally have him," she sent back immediately and started counting the seconds.

It seemed like forever just waiting for a reply and when her phone beeped, she hurriedly opened the text reading it.

"There is alot sorrounding the marriage that we still don't know, maybe he already knows because seems like she was forced so calm down and stick to the plan, you will have him,"

She smiled finally she will have the man she has always dreamed of and Ariel will be stack with another man.

"Whoever arranged the marriage needs a hand of applause. Finally things are falling into place for me," she thought to herself with a victorious smile and started arranging the ingredients she needed.

Jayden is a good cook, he always cooks for Ariel but since he rejected cooking for her, she will use the knowledge she has been acquiring to sharpen her cooking skills.

"Time, one day she will treat me as a queen the same way he treats Ariel," she comforted herself then started the work preparing Jayden's favorite, there is no way  he is going to reject the food.

Ariel arranged the pillows between them, then laid on the bed ready to sleep. She really wished she had her phone with her to chat with Jayden and tell him what was happening.

She really missed him, his hugs, his kisses, his gentle voice that always comforted her at hard times like this, he is just a perfect gentle man and is everything she ever wanted in a man but right beside her was this cold, rude, proud emotionless being, making her wonder if he was really a man or a demon in human body.

"What does he even look like?" She asked herself curiously and the desire to see the face behind the mask surged up.

She is always know to be a go getter and today won't be an exemption. She sat up and faced him.

"Why do you always wear a mask? Are you ugly? Are you a monster or maybe a demon?" The words came out of her mouth before she could even stop herself.

"Ariel this your mouth will get you into trouble someday," she mind scolded herself.

"Do you know what it means to mind your business? For your own good, mind your business," he said in a calm voice but the cold and harsh part of it couldn't be missed.

"All this nonsense I'm not part of it. I have rules. I'm not married, but to avoid public questions, I will allow you sleep in this room but once we go to the house, you will have your own room. I don't want to be seeing you everywhere I am. Don't meddle in my affairs neither are you allowed to question me. We are only a couple to the public behind the public eyes, you live your life I live mine. If you cross my path, I will deal with you," he set down his rules.

"That is a good deal, actually I have a boyfriend and once he is back in the country, I will be going to visit him. Right now, I'm starving, I haven't eaten anything since morning,"

"Are you crazy or something? You want to go visit your boyfriend while married to me?"

"You said I should live my life and you live yours, what is the problem? You can bring your girlfriend if you want, I have no problem. Can you please order food for us, or I should?"

"Listen and listen carefully, just because I'm calm doesn't mean I'm linient with people. Let's leave this hotel then see how far this marriage bullshit will go. Call the Customer service and order what you want to eat,"

"You can't control my life, you put rules that you can't leave upto, who do you think you are?" She got down from the bed and went to make the call as he also picked his phone to make a call to.

"Deliver in my room now," he ordered and Ariel dropped the phone.

She didn't want to think that her imaginations were correct. If what she had in mind was true then that is disrespect an she is not going to allow it.

He dropped her phone and gave her questioning eyes.

"I should order my food and you order yours? No way, I will eat your food,"

       "Says who?"

"Says me and the last thing you want is a commotion here," Ariel threatened something that nobody let alone a woman has ever done.

He wished he could close his eyes and open when they are in the house, what he would have done to her, she would have narrated the scenerial upto her fourth generation.

It didn't take upto five minutes and a trolley filled with all kinds of delicacies and drinks was pushed inside the room.

"Here are all the best foods prepared in this hotel, should I serve you guys?" The guy that brought asked.

"Thank you so much, I will take it from here," Ariel replied with a smile before Damian could say anything.

He bowed and walked out. Ariel ignored Damian and started serving herself first.

"What should I serve you?" She asked him after placing her plate aside and he was using everything in him to keep calm.

He had reached his limit, what kind of disrespect is that? First she served herself a full plate then wants to give him remains?
