Chapter 5.
***The soft music sung by the birds was something Sky would never get used to. He laid comfortably on his bed, blinking and trying to remember what day it is again. He hates birthdays, especially his own. The only reason he leaves his room on his birthdays was because of certain green eyes. Sky has always been drawn to the older boy, all he's ever wanted to do was please Stefan, be with him, talk to him and touch him whenever he could. Sky has no idea why he feels and wants those things from his big brother, but deep down he knew he craved the older boy in more ways than his innocent mind could put together. One time Stefan's family and his were at Grandma's having a tea party. Their mothers and Grandma had baked so many pastries which seems to be Bella's favorite too, they had eaten too much sugar that day, that they were all on a sugar high. Sky always remembered sitting with Stefan in a small armchair their Grandma sits on whenever she wanted to knit and since he Sky wouldn't be anywhere that doesn't have Stefan in it, he had insisted he squeezed in that chair with the older boy. Stefan would give him anything, he would make him get away with anything, Stefan was always so overprotective of him. Stefan had taught him everything he knew. How to be brave, to fight back against those who tried to bully him, even those he was older than. Stefan didn't like to see him cry. He looked up to Stefan and he always had the desire to obey, listen, please, and all that would make the older boy happy. They sat on that chair hand in hand they held onto each other, a huge smile was on Sky's lips as they watched their mothers and Grandma clean up the mess and wash the dishes. Sky's father had left a few minutes later but before he left, he went into the kitchen and kissed his mother. Stefan had squeezed his hand a little harder when he saw that and Sky had looked up in time to see Stefan staring down at him. At that moment Sky had wanted nothing more than for Stefan to kiss him like that, to always kiss him like that. But he never understood why Stefan wouldn't. He just looked at him and then stood up and left him seated on that chair alone. Sky had secretly cried a few tears so Stefan wouldn't see him cry. ******The ten years old blew out air from his mouth and sat up straight, his hands rubbing lazily at his eyes. Sky got up and went into his bathroom for a shower. Once he tested the water temperature he stepped into the warm spray, he closed his eyes remembering what present Stefan had given him on his last birthday. It was a very beautiful wristwatch, he remembered wearing that watch everywhere until he had forgotten he had it on and had jumped into the pool just because Stefan had asked him to come to swim with him. He would always obey Stefan's every command. They had swum for good measures before he knew his watch was on his wrist, he jumped out of the water and took it off, and while trying to dry it off, it fell on the concrete floor and broke. Sky had cried so hard that day, that nothing anyone said could get to him and make him stop, even when he saw Stefan clenching his chest in pain, Sky had cried on. Until Stefan after so much struggle got out of the pool and with shaky hands removed his watch and gave it to him instead. Sky's wrist couldn't fit into the watch but he took it and kept it safe in a box among the things he treasured most. *****Sky opened his eyes as the water reached its peak, he stepped out and took his towel to dry off. Taking in his appearance in the mirror, he looked nothing like Stefan, although they share the same hair color. That's about it.Stefan was gorgeous for sixteen years old, his cat-like green eyes that glowed when he was smiling or smirking. The way his honey brown hair swept across his forehead barely touching the surface of his dark, flawless well-sculpted eyebrows, his chiseled nose that leads down to two beautiful plump lips that could rival any girl any day. Sky has always wondered what they would feel like pressed against him, he knew he had a problem. He didn't want to be thinking this thought about his brother, but somehow he just couldn't help it."Maybe it will pass," He thought out loud, looking at himself in the mirror. "Maybe it's a phase." He honestly wanted it to be so. Sky knew if it turned out not to be, Stefan would never want him that way. He knew he had nothing on his beautiful Fanny. Sky smiled at the nickname, that was his first word as a baby. Every time he heard someone call Stefan, all he would let out was Fanny, no matter how hard he tried.Just like Stefan had given him the name Sky and in all honesty, he wouldn't want to be called by another. The name Fanny has stuck with him until now, but Stefan wouldn't let anyone else call him by that name. The thought that only Sky gets to call him by that name, gives the younger boy a sense of ownership like Stefan was his and his alone. Even his sister doesn't call him by that name.No one else does. Just him.Chapter 6.****His Fanny. Sky couldn't help his feelings, they were rushing through him, making him weak in the knees. He blinked at his reflection in the mirror and teardrops glided down his cheeks, as soon as they came down a single slick finger caught them. Sky opened his eyes wider to be sure he was seeing the beautiful boy behind him. Stefan smirked and pink-tinted the cheeks of the younger boy."I have always told you never to cry, Sky," Stefan turned the delicate boy around to face him, their eyes met and unspoken love, devotion, respect, and warmth flowed through them, filling their hearts, drifting deep down into their very souls. "When the sky Cries, the earth weakens," Stefan caught another stray teardrop, his eyes not leaving that of the younger boy's. "You're my Sky," Stefan hushed, so softly that it made Sky dizzy. "What happens when you cry?" He asked and Sky smiled a shy smile, making his face more beautiful than they already were.Who knew a boy would have such a pe
Chapter: 7.****Sky sought the one face that gave him comfort and warmth but was disappointed when he didn't find those sets of greens in the crowds. It was bad enough that Stefan was upset earlier, but now it's even worse that he had to leave. Has he done something to anger the older boy? Maybe he shouldn't have tried to kiss him.Stefan is never the type who gets angry, not with Sky at least. Sky stood up and ran the entire building around, seeking the only boy he ever wanted to see but found him not. Tired and dehydrated, he sat on the front porch awaiting Stefan's return. He would beg if he had to. He would promise never to feel that way anymore.Never wanting his cousin to kiss him. Sky cried into his hands, no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't get his Fanny off his mind. "I-I'm sorry." He cried. His party is long forgotten.******Stefan sat slumped on a park bench, the cold air gave him the shivers. He took a quick look at his watch and saw it was past 10:30 pm. H
Chapter: 8****The house was bustling with life, everyone oblivious to the emotional battle that had just gone on with the boys right in front of the house. Stefan passes a weak smile to everyone as he goes to sit on a chair. He needed to go home. After what he's done, the last person he wanted to see was Sky. The fact that he had stood his ground and had said those words while watching Sky cry that hard, was a miracle. Stefan thought he would die. But he didn't.Maybe he had done the right thing. "Hey, kiddo! Are you good?" An older man's hand tapped on his shoulders. Stefan smiled knowingly at the voice. He has always loved his grandfather, the man was strong and had taught him almost everything he knew, from fishing, to boxing and to basically everything that he needed to know."Yes, papa Jo," Stefan told the old man, he loved the man and he sure knows how to keep a secret or two."What's eating ya up?" The old man's concerned voice hovered over the younger boy. A weak smile pa
Chapter 9.*****Stefan's throat was dust dried, he couldn't breathe. Sky looked like he was ready for murder, the sparkles in his once shiny blue eyes gone completely. What has he done? How would he fix this? Fix them.Stefan wasn't sure how long Sky stood there just staring at him, the worst part of this situation was that Stefan could not read the younger boy's expressions. He was straight out blank. The more he stood there, the scared Stefan got. He needed to say something. "Sk-" Stefan's words were muffled as he felt a very harsh sting on his right cheek. The onslaught of that slap had his eyes watering in seconds. Sky stood unfazed by his action. If Stefan could hurt him and not blink an eye, why should he? The room quieted down, everyone staring at the angry-looking boy. None were able to recognize the boy they saw."Sk-" Stefan tried again but another slap graced his left cheek. The tears came down finally and fast. He had taught the boy well. Sky was strong even for his ag
Chapter 10.*****The twenty-four years old sat on his bed, fumbling with the half-heart shape on his neck, keeping him warm. Giving him a reason to live. It's been six years since he last saw the boy. What is he up to now?Does he have a girlfriend or even a boyfriend? Is he happy? That last thought constricted his heart, tying it into painful knots making it unbearable for him to breathe. Stefan knew Sky would never be happy. He took that away from him. It didn’t help that he ran away the first chance he got. How had he managed to get through all these years? He ruined both their childhood. The one thing he was afraid of. He had ended up doing. He stole Sky’s childhood, wracked the boy and who knows how he’s handling growing up without him? Stefan hissed at the thoughts. Could life get any more unfair? The hatred the younger boy had for him had gone on for too long. Stefan had tried to beg his forgiveness countless times, but Sky kept shutting him down, pushing him away. He is t
Chapter 11. *****Nothing ever interests the younger boy anymore. He has no friends, the only person he ever spoke more than one word to was his younger brother Sammy. A bucket of fucking sunshine and rainbows compare to Sky's messed-up life. Sammy is only fourteen but he seems to be a lot wiser than his age. He is also the reason Sky gets through life most of the time and for that he is always grateful. Sky had led a very strange life for a teenager. It got to a point when everyone thought he was on drugs or doing something extremely illegal. But there was no such thing. He went to school and went home, then locked himself up in his private hell all day and through the night. No one ever visits him, he never visits anyone, he was better off alone.Fanny had left him that way. After all these years, the name still stuck in his heart. He couldn't call him by another. Sky knew he loved the man, no matter how disgusting it may sound or feel, he was still waiting for him to come back, fu
Chapter 12.*****"Stefan is coming home this weekend!"Sky's eyes widened, his heart doing a double-take, it's like he couldn't breathe. Six years. Six fucking years he last saw the older boy. Stefan had apologized three times through emails and had tried seeing Sky three times but the younger boy wouldn't see him. Sky wouldn't even take his calls. He had his reasons though. What would he look like now? Sky blinked, it was starting to be inefficacious to breathe properly. Would he still wear his own heart? Sky sat up straight, his head throbbing painfully. Does he still care about him? Questions without answers flooded his mind but strangely enough, Sky found his heart heating up to the thoughts of seeing Fanny again. He jumped off the bed and strolled towards the mirror. Once Sky was face to face with his reflection in the mirror, he took his shirt off and scrutinized his tanned chest as it glistered with the warm evening sun that had just shone through the window blinds. Sky had wo
Chapter 13.*****The wind gave a pleasant cold air that was soothing Stefan and making the older boy relax as he felt a sudden weakness surge through him. He rubbed his palms together to keep them from shaking anymore than they already were. Stefan was happy going back home, but something felt out of place. Stefan was going to meet a certain someone, someone he hadn't seen in six years. Well, he did see him online once, but that isn't as much as seeing him again in person. "Six years! God, has it really been that long?" Stefan wondered out loud unbeknownst to him."That long?" Emily asked. Her slender hand came to rest on Stefan's who jolted away from her touch like it was hot iron. "What's wrong?" Emily's worried voice filled Stefan's head and it ached badly. "I'm so sorry, Em." Stefan apologizes even though he had no idea what he was apologizing for, his mind was filled with the thoughts of only one person. "Are you OK?" Emily asked again, this time placing the back of her palm o
