Chapter: 7.

Steven's mother came into the room again, this time she needs her answers and Steven can't tell her he needed more time. She has given him quite enough time.

"Steven."

"Yes, mother."

"I am back."

"I can see that."

"So mind telling me what has gotten into you since you got back from David's."

"Mum, D hates me now, he would never forgive me. He told me but I never believed it would happen eventually."

"What! How could he? After all these years of successful friendship, he is willing to throw everything down the drain. He has no right to hate you."

"Mum relax it's not his fault."

"I don't care whose fault it is, you two have no right to hate each other."

"Maybe you're right mother, but this is all my fault."

"What do you mean your fault?"

"Mother David invited me over to make up for missing his wedding and I went to his house to fall in love with his wife. How fantastic is that?"

"You did what?"

"Yes mother I did and I don't want Raya to get the wrong impressions or feel like I hate her because I was beginning to avoid her and David was uncomfortable seeing that I'm not happy. He asked me to tell him but I couldn't, when he wouldn't stop asking I told him I'd be going back home the next day. He was hurt, mother, he cried and begged even Raya too. Then David told me if I ever leave without telling him, he's never going to forgive me."

"Sssh son, don't cry. You did what you felt was the best."

"I know but living a life without David could kill me."

"I know son, believe me when I say that. You'll get over it and I'm sure David would never be happy too."

"But he wouldn't take my calls, I've been calling."

"You should give him some time, I believe he'd come around."

"You think so, mum?"

"Yes. Don't call him for now, give him time."

"Thanks, mum, I never wanted any of this to happen. I would have ruined a marriage that has just begun."

"I know, David would give anything for your happiness. That's why he is hurt that you didn't trust him enough to tell him."

"I do trust him but he just didn't understand me."

"That is because you didn't tell him, it's all for the best. David loves you very much and I know that he wouldn't be happy losing you."

"I hope so."

"You look so pale, you need a long rest. Now close your eyes and let your heart flow peacefully like a river."

"But it just won't, mother."

"Just close your eyes and do not think about it at all.". She said and kissed him on the head. Steven hates it when he gets this emotionally overwhelmed. He tried to hang on to the hope that it will all work out for the best. Steven can't live without David, it's just too impossible. David has been there with him from the beginning, David can't do this to him now. Steven closed his eyes and soon he fell asleep.

Mebel, on the other hand, needed to make a call. Just as she sat on her favorite white armchair, she waited patiently for her call to be answered and soon it was.

"Hello Mebel, we spoke to each other not too long. Is everything alright?"

"Roseline something's wrong."

"What could that be?"

"Our children have gone crazy."

"What do you mean gone crazy?"

"They hate each other now. Well, David hates Steven to be precise."

"But they have no right to do that, no matter who is at fault. They've never hated each other ever. Did something happen?"

"You're well aware that Steven went on a visit to Dave's, he saw Raya and he thought he may have fallen in love with her. To save him and David a heartbreak, he walked out on David even after he was told that he would never be forgiven."

"Oh my poor baby, why does it have to be Raya he falls for?"

"I suppose we do not tell our heart whom to love."

"Sad. But one thing is certain David would never be happy without Steven, they're brothers and they love each other, nothing can change that."

"I know that Roseline and soon he would come to a conclusion and they would be back together before we know it."

"I'm sure they will."
