I spin around in Gabriel's office chair, bored out of my mind. We haven't spoken since he left; he didn't bring his phone with him, and we're too far apart for the mind-link. I expected him to be back within a month, but I guess that was too optimistic of me. The fight had lasted a lot longer than they had planned, according to some rumors, some packs even betrayed their allies and joined the rogues. At this point, who knows when he'll be back.

I know I'm supposed to be upset that my mate left without saying goodbye, but I miss him terribly. The second I see him again, I'll run in his arms and squeeze the life out of him. I wonder how he'll react when he'll see me...

I'm only around 8 weeks pregnant, my belly is still concealable. But he'll definitely be able to smell it. Will he be excited? What if... he won't? What if he's not ready?

"Stop working yourself up. He'll be beyond thrilled when he finds out we're carrying his pup." Grace reassures me.
