CHAPTER-3

AURORA

"Rory, please save me, Rory. Rory." Her bloodied hand touched my cheek.

"I want to live. Please save me." Her tear-filled eyes and shaking voice pierced my soul and my heart shattered. I felt suffocated. As if I'm dying.

Suddenly everything turned black. Darkness falls all around me. Fear was increasing inside of me. Making me tremble. 

My whole body shuddered in horror. I tried to light up my palm but it didn't work. 

All of a sudden, a ray of light fell in front of me. And I noticed a figure in the darkness coming to the flashlight. 

It was a girl wearing a white gown. But her face was not visible to me until she stood in the middle of the light. 

It was Sianna. 

Staring at me with a bright smile. She was looking like an angel. Suddenly her face turned gloomy. 

Her eyes become moist all of a sudden.

"Why didn't you come to save me from him, Rory?" Her voice cracked and tears began flooding from her eyes.

"I hate you, Rory. I hate you." She said with a look of hatred while weeping.

I felt tears building up in my eyes and my heart was sinking in grief.

"I hate you." I saw her stepping backward murmuring that disappearing into the darkness.

"Sianna…..Don't go." I forward my hand to stop her but she left.

"Rory……."

"Rory….."

"Rory….."

I felt my body shake. I immediately woke up in a jolt breathing heavily. I was feeling like I came back from death. And I found myself sweaty and wet.

I looked up and saw Aunt Lana standing there holding a worried look on her face.

How is she here!!!

She rushed toward me and sat next to me."Did you have a nightmare?" She cupped my face with one hand and asked.

Then I recalled what I saw a while ago in my dream. Sianna. She was dying. She was asking me to save her. Yeah.

Besides, some more incidents flashed in my memory. How she falls off the cliff. How she died in my arms. And then everything goes blank.

What happened after that!!!

How I ended up in my house!!! 

This is so confusing.

A ping sound arose in my head, giving me an extreme level of headache.

I clutched my head in pain.

"What's wrong? Is your head agonizing?" I heard Aunt Lana's worried-filled voice. I felt her hand stroking my head to alleviate the pain.

"It hurts. It hurts like hell." Tears rolled down my eyes. It feels like it's going to explode.

"Suddenly, what happened to you?" She asked with concerns.

"I don't know." I wept, holding my head in between my hands tightly. Soon I felt my pain lessening.

"Has the pain subsided?" I just affirmatively shook my head.

"By the way, when did you come back?" I looked up and asked her. And she gave me a puzzled look.

"What do you mean by coming back? Where did I even go? I was here all the time." Her words made me hell confused.

Didn't she go back to heaven for some work?

"You've gone nuts." She ruffled my hair and got up from the bed. Then she walked out of my room, shutting the door behind her.

"Huh! Have I lost my mind?" 

She lost her mind.

I rush to the bathroom and do my morning chores. I was changing my clothes when I heard my phone ringing.

Hurriedly, I put on my clothes before proceeding outside.

Grabbing my phone from the bedside table I put it on my ear.

"Hello."

"Hell with your hello, why are you still at home?" I heard a piercing sound over the phone. Causing me to move the phone from my ear. 

Who got the audacity to yell at me?

 "Didn't we decide to go shopping to buy a new dress for tonight?" I heard the voice over the phone that made me frown.

I looked at the screen of my phone to see who the person was over the phone call.

And my eyes go wide in shock. 

"Sianna!!!" 

I hurriedly put my phone back on my ear. "Sianna, Is it you!!!" 

"Then who else? My ghost?" I heard her enraging voice.

"Crazy girl met me at the shopping mall asap." I heard the call get dismissed from the other side.

I stood there totally dumbfounded. 

Suddenly my gaze fell on something that made me stunned.

2020!!!

How could it be possible? 

Isn't it 2022?

Wait. Sianna is alive and it's 2020. That means I have time traveled!! I come back to the past.

 But how?

I need to talk to Lana.

I scooted to the hall room and found Lana chit-chatting with Mom.

"Lana, come with me." I drag her with me holding her by her arms. 

"What's wrong, young lady? Why're you dragging her? You can talk to her here. I'm not a stranger." I stopped hearing Mom. And forced a smile at her.

"Mom, I….  I need her suggestions over something." Saying that I took her with me to my room and locked the door.

"What's happened? Why're you acting so mysterious?" Lana asked me while sitting on my bed with dangling legs.

"Don't overreact okay?" 

I take a deep breath while closing my eyes and exhale slowly to calm myself.

"I come from the future."

"WHAT!!!" She exclaimed with utmost shock.

"Yes. And you've to believe me. My spirit comes back to the past." I wait for her to say.

"Okay, I believe you. But  I didn't understand why you came back in the past." Aunt Lana asked and I shrugged.

 The reason is unknown to me too.

"Then tell me what happened in the future before you come back to the past." 

I told her about Sianna and her demise.

"Hmm. So that's the matter. I think you got a second chance to change the wrong things into the right ones. You have got the power to make him suffer for everything he has done. The innocent life he has taken."

"If you can change the past then the future will also change." My face lit up hearing her.

"Really? Then I can save Sia?" She shook her head affirmatively. 

"That's great." I beamed with joy and hugged her tightly.

"I'm so happy Aunt Lana. I'll not let anything happen to my Sia this time. I'll protect her."

"Sia," I called her, stepping out of my car. And she was waiting for me outside of the mall holding a furious expression. I know she's mad at me.

I rushed toward her and hugged her tightly, wrapping my arms around her tiny body.

"I missed you so much" I whimper on her shoulder.

"What happened to you, Rory?" Pulling me apart from her she asked me in an amazed tone cupping my face.

"Nothing." I chuckled nervously.

"I just missed you." 

"Aww." She pulled me into her warm embrace and hugged me.

"I'll always safeguard you," I murmured.

"Now let's go. We have to choose a dress for tonight." Pulling away she told me.

What's so special about tonight?

Then the memory of a flashback comes to my mind giving a glimpse of the past incident. 

In the past the same day we went shopping for a party. It was organized by Woods. And at that party, Sia met Levi.

But I can't let the same thing happen again. I've to do something.

We both enter the shopping mall. Went to numerous boutique shops to choose the best dress for today's party. This party is really important for me. I need to look presentable. 

After choosing a dress we made our way down through the lift.  While descending the stairs, Sia's leg gets twisted.

"Ahh!" Sia yelped in pain.

"Rory, I got my leg twisted." It's me who causes her leg to twist. Because I don't want her to come to the party. 

If she doesn't go to the party, she won't even meet him. And I'll execute my plan.

"Ohh, No. Let me see." I bent down and took a look at her ankle. It's become red.

"Jeez, the condition is not well. You need to apply spray and take a rest. Otherwise, it'll be swollen.

She made a crying face. "Then how will I get into the party?"

"Are you mad? Do you still want to go to that party with your broken leg?  Did you see how badly you got yourself hurt? Forget about the party." I said seriously.

"But I promised you I'll accompany you to the performance. You'll sing and I'll play the piano."

Her face was saddened.

I took her hand in mine. And said, "It's okay. I can manage. To me, your health is important, not my performance." I smiled and she smiled too. 

I assisted her to my car and sent her back to her home.

I take a good look at myself, in the full-length mirror in front of me. Who's she?

Is it me? I look different from my usual look. I don't like girlish style. I always prefer to wear boyish outfits. But for him, I changed myself. 

I wear a blake knee-length dress and tie my hair in a high bun.

I've put on some make-up too. Today I'm looking like a good girl-type person. Innocent, sweet, and graceful.

Levi Wood, I'm coming.

When I was crossing the hall room Lana showed me a thumbs up with a cheerful smile, encouraging me. And I smile back with a wink.

I hopped into my car and drove to my destination. 

It takes me thirty-five minutes to reach there from my home. I stepped down and took my guitar from the back seat. Making my way to the entrance. I showed them my card and they let me in.

The whole ballroom was filled with guests. I roamed my gaze at every corner and found the music players standing in a consumer. 

One man approached me and told me to go over there. I gave him a nod and made my way there. 

On my way, my gaze falls on a particular person for whom I come here especially.

My lips curved up in a smirk. From my place, I cast a spell on him.

I smirked and moved forward on my way. I noticed him looking around for something. That means my spell is working. And he's looking for me.

I purposely walked in his direction. I know he must have smelled my presence. And his wolf is restless to find its mate.

He spun and our gaze met. His gaze was so intense that it was digging a hole in my soul.

My heart starts thumping hard against my chest. I felt my legs turning into jelly and butterflies dancing inside my stomach,

He surprised me by pulling me in his embrace. I wasn't prepared for this. I froze with my palm resting on his chest and his arm around my waist holding me firmly.

I felt a huge lump in my throat. And I gulped hardly looking into his eyes. I noticed his eyes changing into a yellow ones

That indicates that his wolf is in control.

"Mate….Mine" I again noticed his eye color changing into the previous one.

"Hello, my little Mate. I'm Levi." I didn't utter a word, just stood there staring at him pretending to be bewildered. 

I smiled triumphantly in my mind hearing him claiming me as his mate. 

"Finally I found you after a long wait, my little sunflower." 

He sniffs my scent deeply and whispered into my ear, "You fucking smell amazing by the way."

I pushed him away with my hands. That makes him stunned. 

"I think you got the wrong person." Saying that I walked off.
