It was on a Wednesday morning when she heard the knock on the door, she rolled her eyes thinking it was the police doing their random check on the house every couple of hours,

Today was lonely. With Jemi at work and she staying behind, she'd tried reading but like always she found herself without the concentration she needed.

During the week Jemi hadn't stopped reminding her of the need for her to leave. And it wasn't so annoying as the first time she'd done it so she didn't bitch back. She'd seen the tiredness in her eyes each time she fell back from the station or made a call. She looked so stressed once Emma had to slip her sleeping drugs into her coffee and then dragged her limp body up to bed.

It wasn't all bad, they were fun days too, cooking together or sharing a tub or a shower, Jemi whispering into her ears how much she made her crazy or just wrapping her hands beneath her shirt, making her shiver as she toyed with her skin. Making it harder
