Trevor povI pulled on my tux jacket and buttoned it, looking at myself in the mirror. My bow tie was emerald green. I assumed that was the color of Stella’s dress since she had put out the tie on the bed for me. She wouldn’t let me see it, said she wanted it to be a surprise. That woman could put a black trash bag over her body and I would still drool in her presence. It had been a long two weeks, yet the most fulfilling of my life thus far. The alpha ball was finally here and we were about to head downstairs. My pack was on high alert. Alpha Jones and his mate, Stella’s mom, had checked in last night, yet he had skipped the casual alpha meeting that evening. In his place was his son, Seth,. I had Kyle check the hotel guest list to see who he had brought with him. A couple guards, his beta, and Stella’s sister June. Her brother had brought his mate as well. I assumed they would all be at the ball. Communications were cut between my pack and his, but he was civil with the others. I ho
The hospital room was all bright white, florecent lights burning into my eyes. We had been there only a couple of hours now. Stella was still not awake but the doctors reassured me that she would wake up and would make a full recovery. They were running a few tests and had given her an IV of fluids. The coloring in her face had come back, so I was hopeful. Silas and Kyle had gone back to the pack house to assemble a small grouping of guards to be at the hospital at all times while we were here. Collin was passed out in the chair in the corner of the room. He hadn't left mine or Stellas side since we arrived here, and I was thankful for that. As soon as Emily had told us to get Stella to the hospital, Kyle had rushed downstairs to grab my car. The Audi roared to life as he flew up to the back entrance and I ran out to him, Stella in my arms. I had went about 110mph towards the pack hospital, calling ahead of time to let them know I was coming and Stella was a top priority. We arriv
Stella POV The drive home seemed extra long for some reason. I wanted to change out of these scrubs and get a hot shower so badly. Trevor’s hand laid on my thigh, his other stretched out over the steerling wheel, his fingers tapping the dash to the beat of the music playing. Every few miles I noticed black SUVs parked on the side of the road. No doubt they were some of Trevors guards. If he wasn't on high alert before, he was now. Somebody had attempted to kill me, but I wasn't sure who it was yet. The news would spread quickly that I had survived and my Father would find out soon enough if he didn't already know. I knew it was him, or somebody for him. Trevor turned left into the driveway, but this time we were greeted by large metal gates and two guards. I looked over at him and rolled my eyes. "What?" He asked and rolled his window down to speak to one of them. If Trevor was anything, he was effecient. The guard nodded and the gates opened, Trevor hitting the accelerator, climbin
I had slept maybe three hours that night. My body was exhausted from the weekends events, but I tossed and turned, thinking about Seth. And Jonas. His tiny face kept running through my head. I could see him running up to me, arms wide open, cheeks jiggling yelling “Aunt Stel! Aunt Stel!” My mother loved that little boy. He was her first grand child. She took him around to do everything he wanted. She spoiled him rotten. So to hear that my father had taken him was surprising in a way. As a mother herself, how could she allow this? “Penny for your thoughts?” Trevor’s voice rang through my head. I was in la la land, ignoring him I realized. We were laying in bed, watching the morning news. I was snuggled in under his arm, my leg draped over his. I could hear shuffling in the hallways and living room. Guards, I assumed.“Oh. Sorry.” I mumbled. He muted the tv, rolling over on his side to face me. He rested his chin on his fist and smiled. “I’m just worried about Jonas. I can’t imagine
Trevor POVI had just poured myself a glass of vodka and soda while I waited in the kitchen for Stella to finish getting ready. I had forgotten that one of my new nightclubs was opening tonight. It was a pretty big event on our pack lands. I had changed a few rules to the people invited, like no cell phones. I wanted Stella by my side, but we had to keep her hush hush in case her father got wind of her still being alive. I had men working non-stop to try and figure out a way to get her brother and nephew out of South pack territory and somewhere safe. It was important to Stella. I would handle her father after that. I looked up from scrolling through my phone when I heard the clicking of high heels coming down the hallway. I stood up and saw her emerge, my jaw dropped. She was wearing a tall pair of heels that laced up to just below her knees. Her toe nails painted black. Her dress was all black with long sleeves, but see through mesh, and very short.. She had on a pair of black lac
My father was on his way over. I had been sending him out to gather some information regarding Seth, his mate and their pup. Normally I would never even consider mixing myself into rival pack business. But, this was Stella’s family. And her father was threatening to kill her nephew. It was a mess, and all because Stella’s mate was me. It infuriated me that he was able to hurt his own children this way. Not to mention he was running out of kids to take over the South pack as alpha. Obviously Stella was no longer planning on taking over, at least I thought. Maybe that was a conversation we needed to have. The door to my den swung open and Stella wandered in, holding a tablet and my credit card. This was going to hurt my wallet. I smiled up at her and she plopped down into my lap, wrapping one arm around my shoulders. “Okay, so just a few more things? I just really want a different bed. The thought of you with any other female in it just..” I knew where this was going and I interrupte
Stella POVI hadn’t meant to actually injure a wolf today. But they looked threatened and that meant they could come after one of us first. Instinct told me to attack. I pushed my back legs hard into the ground, springing my body over Trevor’s and at the larger brown wolf who was closer. I caught him by surprise, biting my jaw down onto his shoulder blade and ripping it open, throwing him to the ground. The other wolf took off, leaving his brother alone with two strange wolves. Coward, I thought. The young wolf shifted once on the ground injured and I immediately recognized him. His name was Logan, and he was in fact young. Maybe 18 at the oldest. He didn’t know any better. Trevor shifted to speak to him, maybe try and get some information. We quickly found out that my Father was telling the entire South pack that I was dead. But at the hands of Trevor. The thought of Trevor laying a finger on me made me laugh. He would never. We asked where we may find Seth and took off in that d
I pulled on some grey sweatpants and tossed on one of Trevor’s tshirts and made my way back out into the living room. June was sitting on the couch with Kyle, chatting. Collin was at the kitchen island eating a sandwich, having a conversation on the phone. Silas and two other guards were in the den. I looked around, slightly panicked, for Jonas. June must have noticed because suddenly I heard her; “he’s with Trevor’s nanny?” She wasn’t sure Kimberly position. I nodded and my shoulders slumped down in relief.“You know..” June huffed loudly. “If you’re going to do it like that, and be super loud, you could warn us?” Collin choked on whatever he had in his mouth and stared over at June with wide eyes. Silas had popped his head around the corner of the doorway and Kyle busted out laughing. They heard every bump and moan! I rolled my eyes, trying not to seem too embarrassed.“With an ass like this, I’m taking every chance I can get. Don’t be jealous you’re not getting any!” Trevor appear
