Chapter 2: Coquette

Thinking about my creepy conversation with Logan gives me chills and goosebumps.

“Someday I’ll be with you again I promise, but now I would like to watch from behind first…” What does he mean by that? I thought he was imprisoned for molesting a minor. That maniac deserves it anyway, I clenched my fist while going back to a traumatic experience he gave me and his friends.

I know to myself that I’m over it but I can’t stop feeling extreme anger toward them. Soon I’ll touch on my sweetest success. I don’t care if I need to dig my own grave by taking the things I deserve. So much adventure and foreplay to succeed.

I take off my three inches sandals. When my feet touched the ground of my room, I removed my clothes piece by piece while going to the bathroom for a good bath. I feel the cold floor of my bathroom, I stop at the sink and get the lipstick I left earlier. I painted my lips again with the intoxicating red lipstick. Red represents manipulation well suited for me. I smirked at my reflection, feeling satisfied. I tied my hair into a messy bun and prepared the bathtub with water, vanilla soap, and milk. I sunk my right foot into the tub and let the water soak my whole body.

When I finished my agenda in the bathroom. I checked the time, it was 4:30, not bad to have a coffee at Starbucks. I notice there’s something weird here in my room. My brows furrowed who the smurf made it in here. Intruders and hackers, I click my teeth now I’m irritated. I looked for my extra blanket and pulled the chair up to the bottom side of the CCTV camera.

I climb on the chair and stretch my arms.

“I don’t like someone to watch me livin’ with a boost,” I savagely said and covered the CCTV with the blanket. I returned the chair to the dining area.

I dialed a number on my phone.

“Hello there madam, can we offer our help to you?” A manly voice.

“Some miniature hacked my CCTV system, I want your security company to take care of it,” I sweetly said with a sign of sourness on my face.

“Sure madam will take care of it, please send me your details,” I ended the phone call and sent the company my address.

Now it’s settled I need to fix a date strictly for myself. I’m still in a hiatus after an issue made by my hater who made it for my downfall. I giggled, so freaking numb didn’t even notice the flaws I’m hiding. People will believe the things they want, they want me so they believe me. Easy to manipulate people nowadays.

I get my not expensive bag, being so classy can be intimidating so I don’t want someone to hate me. Perhaps they’ll need a deep investigation to know the facts and bluffs about me.

Rule number 3 builds an open and secured reputation. The therapy will help me to make publicity to tell people that the last issue made me stressed and anxious.

“Now, I’m done,” I get my car keys. I left my room and headed downstairs.

“Where are you going?” Monroe asked while I walked toward him. I don’t need to be rude to him, he’s still my manager anyway.

“I’m getting a coffee,” I used my charm thinking that it would make this interrogation smooth.

“You know that the issue is still hot right?” He asked, looking so disappointed.

“So am I,” I pointed out. He laughed.

“Make sure you’ll be safe, do you want someone to guard you?” He added while taking a bite of the banana.

“I don’t need one, I promise to be safe,” I kiss him on his cheeks. I got out of the condominium building where we were living. I beeped my car and the baby was dashing.

“Time to chill,”

When I arrived at my favorite coffee shop I park my car in front of the shop. People start to get the attention I’m showing. I brought my bag with me. I’m wearing a fitted red dress that shows my upper chest. It matches my four inches sandals and nails, even my lipstick.

I entered the shop and the smell of caffeine welcomed me.  The crews accompanied me to an empty table.

“I want an espresso americano,” I politely said using my British accent.

“You have a sexy accent ma’am,” that made a smile written on my face.

“Everything is,” I wink at her.

She smiled before going back to prepare my order. I’m busy staring at the red roses on the table when a woman got my attention. She was with a few groups of men encircling her while she was writing on a piece of paper. I can’t blame the boys for fantasizing about her legs, what a tease.

A coquette, she’s something.

She noticed my gaze towards her, she smiled at me after the men were gone. I tilted sideways exposing my right feminine side. It’ll be easy if she’s a man but she’s not. After all, my charm worked because she walked toward me.

“Hey there gorgeous,” she announced then she sat on the chair in front of me.

“Hi,” the sultry tone of mine is invading us.

She stared at me like I’m such an art. She’s too easy to read, poor lady. Our gaze interlocked for seconds until my order arrived. I picked the spoon and sensually stirred my coffee.

“Are you seducing me?” That made me laugh softly. Her brows furrowed a bit and her lips were now in a thin line.

“Why would I,”

“Jannah, I’m Jannah Alvarez,” she smiled, she has that charm that can entice any man she wants. I stopped stirring when I remembered what she said. An Alverez, her name starts with J. This is not a coincidence I know. Fate is working now I found Jake’s twin. I look at her again. Bingo honey they assemble each other's characteristics. Well, I thought she got my attention because she was a charmer, but now I know why.

“Lavender Grey,” her eyes widened in shock.

“So you're the international model right?” she seemed excited, I nodded and that turned her aura to a happy one.

“I can’t believe this, I got the chance to talk with a supermodel,” she clapped her hands and that led to us getting some attention.

“I’m still new here in the Philippines and I want to befriend you because you have a strong aura,”  I proclaimed before sipping my coffee. She nodded looking like an excited kid with her treats.

“Can I get your number?”

“Here,” I gave her my business card.

“Can you sign it? Autograph you know, I’ll show it to my brother,” dang I’m waiting for her to mention her brother. I signed the card.

“Does your brother live with you?” well that’s a dumb question from me. Seriously Lav it’s her first time meeting you and you're asking for some personal info.

“Yes sometimes,” she said. Fishy, what’s making you busy Jake hmmm?

“I’ll be going now Jannah,” I bid my goodbye.

“Can you say it again?”

“Jannah,” I said in a sultry voice then smirked at her before turning my back.

I proceeded to the counter to pay my bill. It cost me 145 pesos, well that was cheap.

“This is getting me excited, meidi,” I said in the air, I’m feeling this plan would succeed.

I walked to my baby and before I got in I activated the tracking device in the card I gave Jannah. Our talk is kinda awkward but it does benefit me so I won’t complain. The GPS worked, for the last time I stared at the coffee shop, I was from.

“Jake, if you're the one who destroyed me, I'm gonna show you how to properly destroy a girl, and our objective is your sister,” I said aloud. But before I can finally get in the car.

“But I don’t have a sister and I can’t remember that I destroyed you woman,” a manly voice said from behind. Heck, maybe he’s also Jake?

“I’m sorry sir, it’s not you,”

“I know,” he laughed then walked away.

I rolled my eyes in my mind. Rude enough to irritate me. An idea came to my mind, maybe being an angel in the meantime can’t hurt me but it can flourish my reputation. I headed to a nearby supermarket. I pulled a tray and railed and put in as much food as I can since I’m alone in this hallway. I get as many candies as I desire. This would be for the street kids in the plaza I met last week. When my tray was full I headed to the counter and paid the receipt.

I place all the bags in the back of my car. I turned the music on and drove to the plaza. I realized I didn’t buy any toys for the kids. Maybe when I’m done with my mission I’ll bring them to a good orphanage.

“This is kinda heavy,” I sighed while bringing 8 bags of food with me. I locked my car first and then headed toward a group of kids.

“Here she is again guys,” a fat kid announced, getting his friend’s attention.

“Hello kids, I’m here again,” I said aloud with my cheerful face.

“Hello ate ganda,” the girls hurriedly hugged me. I don’t care if they’re dirty or stinky but I’m fond of them. I’ve been in their situation and I know how it feels to be like them. Not enough food, no parents to take care of them, and no cozy home.

“This is all for you,” I'm as excited as them. I handed them their treats. They thanked me and I’d stay with them until they equally shared the bags. If someone will notice me this would be a good headline.

I check my phone, it’s almost 7 o'clock. I need to get home before Monroe will scold me. I drove home as fast as I could.

When I stepped into my condo, I heard some voices coming from the living room. One is Monroe and the other voices I can’t confirm if I’ve heard their voices before.

“She’s here,” Monroe announced. My brows furrowed when I realized it was Tyler and Taliyah, my long-lost friends in the industry.

I placed my bags and car keys on the table and sat with them in the living room.

“How are you, Vish?” Tyler asked, they are curious now huh?

“Doing fine,” I said with my classy tone.

“We heard and it’s all over the news you’re having therapy with Dr. Black,” Taliyah smirked when Tyler asked again.

“Dr. Jairo Black right,” Taliyah creepily asked.

“Yes,”

“A hottie doctor aiding you huh,” we laughed in sync.

“Yeah, and so freaking hot that I want him, too,” I laughed devilishly.

“We can share you know,” Taliyah raised her brows.

“Me first,” I remarked before bidding goodbye. I’m so tired and exhausted at the same time.

“I’m still on a diet so I didn’t eat for dinner,” I remind myself while doing my skincare night routine.

When I’m done putting on the cream I head towards my CCTV and I presume this is now good because the blanket is now removed. I turned the TV on hoping that I’m now on the news.

“The supermodel Lavender Visha Grey is finally seen at sight in the Philippines, and she was seen giving street kids treats, her pure heart shows us again that even a high-paid model can make simple things great.” The reporter is quite good, I’m impressed.

I’m planning to turn the TV off when the next news shocks me.

“They wanted murderer Logan Agoncillo was found dead on the creek behind the water station in Makati City, according from the witness she saw the man was shot three times by an unknown man in a black mask, the police are still investigating the crime scene.”

This is serious, maybe it was a paid kill? Or maybe revenge. I won’t do it with my bare hands but then the connection got bigger and bigger when I got here. This is so exciting I’ll be entertained with those dumb meidies.

“My turn,”
