" So are you gonna talk or what? " Mrs Brown asked, getting tired of the sudden silence that erupted between them. Layla had called her and Mr Brown together at the dinning table, saying she had something important to say.

" Um... Mom it's about my boyfriend " She said and Mrs Brown raised her brows. " What about him? " She asked.

" He's not whom I told you he was " She said the truth and Mrs Brown sat up properly on her seat. " Wait what? " She asked to be sure if her ears hadn't betrayed her.

" Mom.. " Layla tried to call but Mrs Brown cut her off. " So what you're trying to say Is that you lied to us? " Mrs Brown asked almost angrily, pointing at Mr Brown and then at herself.

" Yeah somehow " Layla muttered in acknowledgement and Mrs Brown scoffed unbelievably. " I knew something was fishy! " She shouted and hit the table loudly that Layla flinched and Mrs Brown wasn't an exception, he flinched lightly.

" So you've grown wings right? You now lie to I and your dad! You no
