Chapter 4

　　She was tricked.

　　Jane\'s heart fell cold, and she desperately grabs Quinn’s feet.

　　\"As long as I can save my mom, I am willing to do anything!\"

　　\"Ew. Go away.\"

　　Quinn kicked her hands away, she leans down and whispers in her ear. \"Do you know how your mother got into a car accident? I hired someone to hit her. Your mother\'s blood left an ugly painting on the zebra crossing. I thought she was gonna die on the spot but she didn’t. Why would she wanna live? I mean, she already has heart desease.\"

　　Jane’s pupils suddenly shrinks and a burst of blood surges over her head.

　　Quinn smiles brightly, \"…both her legs got crushed and she just fainted-\"

　　With glaring eyes, Jane grabs Quinn\'s hair with gnashing teeth, \"Why did you do it?\"

　　\"Aaaaaaaaaaaah!\" Quinn Liu screams, \"Liam, help! Help me!\"

　　Before Jane could react, a big hand stretches out from the side, roughly grabs her wrist, and pulls her away.

　　\"You fucking bitch!\"

　　With the harsh voice, Jane\'s head hit the wall. The room was spinning and an intense pain emanated from the side of her skull.

　　Quinn rushes into Liam\'s arms, crying tears and feigning pain.

　　\"Don\'t be afraid, I was negligent and let this dog enter your ward.\" Liam patted her back softly, as anger lingers in Jane\'s eye. Her vision is blurry and a stream of blood ran down her forehead. She wipes her eyes, but before she could see clearly, Liam grabs her by the arm. \"Come out with me!\"

　　He drags her straight out of the ward and they stride heavily together. She stumbles and falls several times until Liam kicks open a door and shoves her inside.

　　\"Liam! Please! My mother is still waiting for the blood transfusion, please save her! Please! You can take my life Liam! Take mine!\" Jane ignores the pain and frantically hugs his leg.

　　He never addresses her, he bends her over, pulls her hair, and he removes her clothes with a suture scissor.

　　\"What are you doing!?\" Jane struggles in horror, but she couldn\'t stop Liam at all.

　　\"You asked for it!\"

　　Not once did Liam hesitate, he binds her limbs and shuts the door.

　　The staff on the floor quietly looks as Liam forcefully fills out a form at the nearby psychiatric nurse’s station.

　　\"There’s a new patient in 507. She has a long history of depression and just recently experienced a severely traumatic event. Please take care of her.\" Liam indifferently orders the staff on duty.

　　Liam walks back to the door. His demented eyes glaring at Jane, \"Stay here for me until you give birth to my child.\"

　　Jane looks at his uncaring back and her heart fills with despair. She screams and thrashes desperately around the room. \"Liam, I\'m wrong! I shouldn\'t have hit Quinn! I\'m willing to give you your child! My life! Please! Just save my mother!\"

　　Bam!

　　Liam slams the door at the end of the hallway, not hearing any of Jane’s pleading.

　　The heavy closing sound rouses the other patients on the floor. A chaotic mixture of laughter, howling, and insanity drowns out Jane’s despair.

　　\"Liam!\" Jane repeated several times. She struggles desperately, exhausting all her strength. No matter how hard she struggles, she is still tied firmly.

　　For the whole afternoon, she screams and struggles frantically. Her throat is hoarse and raspy, her frayed wrist was strangled, mushed to the bones.

　　Until a nurse walks in and injects a tranquilizer into her vein.

　　\"Mom…\"

　　She whimpers with all her remaining strength, tears running down her cheeks.

　　...

　　She has been tied to the darkness and she thought about what the color of hell would be. She didn\'t know whether it was day or night, let alone how long time had passed. The only thing she knew was that her hands are bound and there are no more tears left to give.

　　Days have passed and she never saw Liam again.

　　\"Miss Jiang, your body is too weak. Please eat some porridge.\" The nurse fed the spoon to her mouth.

　　Jane\'s expression was dull, like a figurine staring into nothing.

　　She is skinnier now, her hands and feet are pricked with needles, and she is full of bruises.

　　Seeing that she was motionless, the nurse had to pick up the cold porridge and walks out the door.

　　As the nurse opens the door, low voices of conversation floated inside.

　　\"I heard that 507 was President Chu\'s former fiancee. And just the day before the marriage, the president suddenly dumped her. Nobody knows why.\"

　　\"Well, who knows. But President Chu got engaged to Miss Liu yesterday, and the engagement banquet was very luxurious.\"

　　Jane’s eyes rolls a little, and her numb heart felt a little more pain.

　　No wonder a small part of the hospital was so lively the day before, it turns out they were engaged.

　　\"I heard that after 507 was dumped, she went crazy and was locked here.\"

　　\"Wait. So, then she doesn\'t know that her mother had severe bleeding on the operating table two months ago?\"

　　Jane\'s pupils immediately shrinks and a sudden burst of intense pain throbs deep in her chest.

　　She suffocates, “Mom is dead?”
