Chapter 8

　　She burst into tears, her heart hurting like it was about to split.

　　The oily soup ran across the ground, mixed with overturned vegetables and tofu.

　　Jane grabs them one by one, picking off the shards of broken plate. She fills her mouth and swallows abruptly.

　　Blaaarghchk.

　　A strong pregnancy symptom, Jane couldn\'t control her retching.

　　She covers her mouth, she couldn\'t tell whether it was soup or tears but she forces herself to swallow.

　　She can\'t vomit otherwise her mother will have to continue to be hungry until dawn.

　　Jane kneels on the floor, dripping with oil from her chin, ashamed and sick. Liam looks indifferently, showing no mercy but a hint of revenge in his eyes.

　　He will no longer have any sympathy for this woman.

　　\"Wow. Nothing is left, I hope your mother will do the same.\" He says coldly.

　　He turns and walks out of the room.

　　...

　　\"Miss Jiang, your meal is-\"

　　The new nurse hasn’t finished but Jane grabs the plate and eats hungrily. She swallows the food hard.

　　Only when she eats can her mother also eat. Within minutes, the food on the plate was swept away.

　　Jane slurps the last drop of soup and gestures to the camera on the ceiling, looking expectantly. It monitors her 24 hours a day. As for her obedient behavior, she asks that she meet her mother once again.

　　The nurse nodded in polite dread and shuffles out of the ward.

　　As Jane sits silently and she hears someone talking in the hallway. She heard about the president of the hospital preparing for his wedding next week.

　　The door opens, and a slender figure walks in. Jane looks up, her eyes suddenly widen.

　　\"Sister, are you still living here?\" Quinn Liu smiles, \"I\'m here to inform you that I will be marrying Liam on Friday but it seems you can\'t attend it, \'cause you\'re locked up in here.\"

　　She inadvertently raises her hand and the sparkling light of the rock hurts Jane\'s eyes.

　　\"By the way…” Quinn leans in towards Jane and chuckles, “this ring, is my sister\'s.\"

　　Jane only had a blank face for her sister’s sarcasm. Her heart beats heavy as she tries to control her breathing.

　　It was the engagement ring that Liam gave her two years ago but the night before the wedding, she puts the ring on the table and gives it back to him.

　　Knowing that Quinn just wants to stimulate herself, Jane coldly says, \"I threw that into the garbage can and I don’t intend to pick it back up again. I don\'t want garbage, you can take it if you want it.\"

　　Quinn’s face changes. She could not hold back her excitement, her smile is even more beautiful than before.

　　\"Sister, did you know that Liam is outside?\" she smiles happily, \"He’s bringing auntie to meet you.\"

　　Jane is stunned, her face instantly turns to panic.

　　\"You are as stupid as your mother...\"

　　Outside the door, Liam pushes Maria Jiang\'s wheelchair and listens calmly.

　　\"Liam, what happened to you and Janie?\" Jane\'s mother is bothered, \"Janie is pregnant with your child but why are you engaged to Quinn? You are her first love, you can\'t-\"

　　\"Send her to the ward.\"

　　Liam hands the wheelchair to the nurse.

　　Maria seems to understand something. She patted her wheelchair and shouted angrily, \"I\'m dead, I\'m going to be discharged! Liam, I will pay my life to the Chu family just let my daughter go!\"

　　\"Garbage?\" Liam stares at Jane. He sneers and turns to the nurse, \"Change 375 from the VIP room to the general ward, and stop all medicines and meals.\"

　　From the crack of the door, the cries of her mother came, breaking Jane’s heart. Regardless of her pregnancy, she throws herself in front of Liam.

　　\"I beg you, my mother did nothing. I was wrong, I was wrong.\"

　　\"I will give you this child. I will give you as many as you want. I will be cattle for you. Take my life, please don\'t hurt my mother!\"

　　Maria\'s heartbreaking cry coming from the corridor mixes with Jane\'s.

　　Liam tosses her aside with a snapping kick. \"Hh! Garbage?\"

　　She falls heavily to the ground, struggling to get up, Liam shoves her down with his heel.

　　Listening to her mother\'s miserable cry, Jane\'s heart is broken and she looks at Liam\'s unusually indifferent face, almost desperate. She grits her teeth and hurriedly steps onto the windowsill.

　　\"Liam, if you stop my mother\'s medicine, I will take your child and jump down!\"
