Chapter Three

Isdis parted her eyes and was greeted with the sight of a homely barn, in an instant she gasped as she jolted upwards in shock.

“Khary…!”

“I am here my lady, don’t be anxious for I am here and will forever be at your aid throughout my living” Khary said with a hum while placing a cup of brewed herbs before Isdis

“What is it with you, I only required an answer and not an oath” Isdis said tiredly while taking up the herb and sniffing it curiously “What is this?”

“Jasmine flowers, helps keep the body warm and quite delicious” Khary explained like a professional chef

“Hmm, where are we?” Isdis asked again while glancing around as she sipped her tea

“Delicious” she muttered   

“Is it not? We are on an abandoned barn in the far mountainous regions of the Kingdom of Florence, just like your map stated that we should be in” Khary said

“You flew all the way to this location? Are you not weakened?” Isdis asked worriedly

“Indeed, I was overwhelmed with tiredness as I stopped at this site but my lady had fed me enough to keep me going. Behold, for my eyes are now its former colour of emerald” Khary said while pointing at his spring green eyes

“Emerald is too dark of a colour, for your eyes are like the beauty of glittering spring” Isdis said with a flush whilst staring at her drink which she gently sipped

“Hm” Khary said while softly patting Isdis’ soft hair which Isdis did not oppose, it had once again turned black due to Isdis deactivating her power.

“We shall be moving once again when we are fully rested but our identity will be altered and all display of abilities are forbidden” Isdis warned

“Yes”

“Alright, is there a stream here or are we to create our own stream?” Isdis asked

“There is a stream at the downwards path of the mountain, shall we proceed?” Khary asked with glittering eyes

“I refuse! I am a fair maiden in her early adulthood, how can you think of such things you perverse male!” Isdis said with a fluster

“But we took our bath together once before” Khary said sadly and Isdis felt that she could see a pair of puppy ears droop over his head

“That was at our early years of childhood Khary, we’re at coming of age and unless betrothed, such things are forbidden!” Isdis said and without listening to another one of Khary’s tantrum dashed off

“Her highness is really too cute” Khary said to himself while watching Isdis depart

“I am positive of it, this smell…. it’s so rich, too rich. It can only be that of royalty” A red-haired person told a group of persons who seemed rather doubtful

“Then what are we to do?” Another male with short, fine black hair asked

“I’m of heavy doubt Igris, for what holds a royalty at a place of this sort?” Another but a female with lovely blonde hair said

“Dare not question me dearest Patricia or I shall make you learn the consequence if you do” Igris said with a glare at which Patricia and the rest quivered

“Then I shall depart”

‘If I have a royalty on my hand, wealth is but a step away!’ Igris thought excitedly while walking towards a certain mountain.

“Yes but he is no ordinary vampire, he is a prince of vampires” Igris stated

“And how would you know of this?” Isdis asked menacingly

‘A mere human dares question me?! I shall show you!’ Igris grumbled in his mind but outwards his show of cowardice was perfect.

“Should we trust him, dearest?” Khary said

“I’m quite curious at his play, and since we can deal with him, of course” Isdis said

“My lady…”

“I shall not be stopped by you my lord, he is mine to deal with if he slips” Isdis said

“Fine” Khary says dejectedly

“Then shall we go?” Igris said while giving a stressed smile

“Before that, what gender are you?” Isdis asked confusedly

The red-haired vampire had a long hair way longer than Khary’s, his eyes were curved upwards and glimmered the color of gold, his face was rather feminine with a pair of long, red lashes as red as his lips but even while having upwards, his manhood could be fairly seen.

Isdis felt her head ring, was this person perhaps, both?

“It’s complicated your highness” Igris answered grimly

“Answer” Khary said with a flash of eyes

“Both!” Igris said confusing the duo

“Let this be forgotten and let our feet be set to departure” Isdis said

“Yes” Khary said while following Isdis and giving Igris a signal to lead the way

Whilst leading them forwards, Igris thought-

‘Why would loyalty be with a human and at the same time respect her?’

But it didn’t matter as both would soon meet their doom.

“Here” Igris said with a sweet yet err smile

“What is here? Why have our journey come to a hold here?” Isdis asked confusedly

“I sense….”Khary said and the next minute swooshed with speed in order to capture Igris but failed by a millisecond as Igris reacted faster

“You really captured him leader!” Patricia said as their group of four leapt out of the bushes in readiness to attack the duo

“Is he truly royalty? How can he be so very stupid?” Another male with a bulky body said sarcastically as they laughed at Isdis and Khary whilst surrounding them

“Do not insult your prince vampires, for its judgment is treason~” Igris said mockingly

“So this was it? Foolish beings, how incredibly stupid” Isdis said while nodding her hair,

“You dare….!” The bulky male exclaimed angrily but was stopped by Patricia

“I will deal with her, a mere mortal should know their place!” Patricia said as she dashed towards Isdis but just right in her front, her entire movements was placed on hold

“*Sigh*, did I not tell you my lord? Sully not your lovely hands for a simple fly like this, I can deal easily with this” Isdis said to Khary who was glaring at Patricia with eyes which had turned red

“I apologize, it seemed I became a bit flustered, after all, my lady was insulted by a diseased” Khary said while blinking and the next minute his eyes returned to its usual color

“Only…his gaze?” Patricia muttered in horror as she dropped to her knees while trembling

“Tsk-!” The bulky male exclaimed and was about to proceed forward to help but was stopped by Igris

“Do not move”

“Do you incite that I stay still and let Patricia be….!” He was cut short by Igris glare which made him behave himself

“Be careful and behave Jack” Another male in their group said with a small smile

“Yes” Jack muttered grimly

“Ah!!!” Patricia screamed as she was kicked across the field and vomited blood

Isdis placed down her heels that was coated in thick ice as her now whitish hair fluttered freely, due to the fact that she and Khary had been resting, she had undid her hair from its bonds and now it was annoying her.

“I hate when my hair gets in the way of my battles!” Isdis proclaimed with a wave of her hand

“Pu-A-ah!!!!!!” Patricia that was on the floor screeched in a high tone as she vomited blood and her rolled backwards from being pierced at the heart by a huge icicle.

“I-is t-that, is, I…it’t’s…..” Jack muttered stupidly whilst Igris quivered with unknown emotions

“It’s the legendary ice ability!”
