"Great! Give it to me now!"I reached for the necklace, but my father blocked my hand with his scepter.

"Wait, don't rush. I can lend it to Elizabeth, but it comes with a premise."

"What's the premise?"

"The premise is that Elizabeth has to be our family. Do you understand what I mean, my son?"

My heart began to beat faster, and my gut told me that my father was thinking the same thing I was thinking.

"You mean you want me to marry Elizabeth, right?"I asked, stumbling over my words.

"That's right!"My father tapped the ground with his scepter in delight.

"Once you marry Elizabeth, we'll be family. I can lend her the precious green crystal necklace, or even gift it to her. She can also stay in our grassland forever. It's a win-win situation."

Listening to my father's depiction of a bright future, I actually didn't know what to say except to smirk. It seemed like my tongue wouldn't even move.

"I just heard the servant report that you two kissed on the road, right?"My fat
