Damien ignored Derek’s statement and sat down at a chair specially reserved for him, Audrey sat next to him and others also settled down.

Audrey felt Derek’s eyes on her but she couldn't help but look in his direction, he was sitting opposite her which made it less comfortable for her.

She remembered what she went through by just smiling and receiving a peck from him and she looked away immediately.

“So, let’s get this over with.” Damien said and they all mumbled.

‘What was this meeting about anyway?’ Audrey thought and looked around. And this will be the first time seeing Derek in their gathering, where has he been all this while?

“Reports.” Damien ordered and Derek passed him a file, he went through them and dropped it on the table.

“What is this?” Damien asked with an annoyed expression.

“What does it look like to you? Isn't that... “

“Hold on, how about we just eat first? Come on, the ladies are here.” Clyde cut Derek off and Damien turned to the food.
