108: MEETING THE FAMILY AGAIN

D E L I L A H

Trying to sleep in a room that held so many memories was a very hard. I stayed up, staring at the ceiling and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t stop the flash backs.

The happily moments. The fights. Our first night together. When we confessed our feelings to each other, it wasn’t something I could easily forget.

Thinking of what could have been if I hadn’t made the decision to leave brought tears to my eyes.

I was tired of being sad. Of thinking. I was exhausted.

I got out of bed, wrapping my arms around myself. I wanted to feel his strong arms wrapped around me. His breath on my neck. I needed him.

I quietly made my way out of the room and walked towards the next room. I knew he would be in there. I softly opened the door. The room was dark and tbe only source of light in the room was coming from the moon. The moonlight shined through the window, highlighting his face. He slowly opened his eyes, peering at me.
