Caught in a difficult situation

On the other hand, Darren was still feeling guilty, he remembered how he had reprimanded Lucy in front of everyone, and he knew that it was not a smart move.

That day something deep inside him whispered that he should go back and check on her, but he shook his head and walked away, telling himself that it was for her own good.

As he walked out of the deserted pack house, he couldn't get the sound of Lucy's sobs out of his head. He knew he needed something to distract himself, and he decided that a run would be the perfect thing to clear his head.

He sprinted through the woods, feeling the cool air rush over his skin as he started to jog.

He had only gone a few meters into the woods when he saw a little girl crying at the other side. She was holding her knee, which was scraped and bleeding.

Alpha Darren's instincts kicked in, and he ran over to her.

"Hi there," he said gently. "Are you okay?"

The little girl sniffled and nodded. "My bike's broken," she muttered through her tears.
