Chapter 48

That night, Darren couldn't sleep. His mind kept on focusing on what happened an hour ago. His back was on the bed and his head facing the ceiling.

He wondered if he really exaggerated everything, even after catching a whiff of Stanley's scent on her. It meant that she had cheated on him. That was an enough reason to act that way towards her, wasn't it?

Fuck! He didn't know the right from wrong again. Everything was just upside down for him. He wondered if everything would still remain the same or not....between Lucy and him.

While thinking about that, he hit his fist on the bed and started grumbling to himself. He realised that talking to himself and making himself go through torture wasn't the best thing to do. He had to meet up with Lucy and talk to her about it. Yes, that was what he had to do.

He turned to rest on his side. His mind was fixed on Lucy as he shut his eyes to sleep, hoping the day after had some good news for him.
