The next day, the sun rose high in the sky, casting its warm glow across the landscape. Darren woke up early, feeling refreshed and energized from a good night's sleep. As he looked around the room, he noticed that Sharon was nowhere to be found. At first, he felt a twinge of concern, wondering where she could have gone off to. However, as the minutes passed, he found that he didn't really mind her absence. In fact, he felt a sense of relief that he could spend the day with Lucy, without any distractions.

Darren walked over to Lucy, who was still asleep. He gently kissed her forehead, causing her to stir. She opened her eyes, looking up at him with a sleepy smile. "Good morning, handsome," she murmured, her voice laced with affection.

"Good morning, beautiful," he replied, his own voice filled with warmth. "How did you sleep?"

"I slept like a baby," Lucy said, stretching out her arms. "What about you?"

"I slept well," Darren said, smiling. "But I think today is going to be even better
