Chapter 27. Granted

It was afternoon when we arrived at the Sorrento part. The travel back to my hometown brings back all the memories of my childhood. It was my Zia Melina who greeted us warmly. She's our place's caretaker and my mother's close first cousin. She dedicated her life here in Sorrento with her family and kids. Although back in the old days, she was given a chance like my mother to explore the world, she chose not to and keep the tradition as it is now. My mother and Zia Lemina have a few similarities regarding their faces.

"It's good to see you again, Elizalde. Look at you. You now have a wife and soon a kid," she laughs and hugs Lizzie.

The two of them talk as I head in for a warm shower. Zia Melina also prepared our meals, and I am thankful for her. And looking at the two of them happily chatting, I couldn't be happier about what was happening now.

The night was quiet after a good meal. I had a good time listening to Zia Melina. Listening to all her stories was always excit
